Naughty question: what meshing algorithm does Boundless use?

Kind of a naughty question for what kind of algorithms is used here?

  • It is not marching cubes as this one would not draw perfect cubes together with other shapes - also, the vertices are on cube edges.
  • It is not dual contouring - as that one places the vertices inside each cube.
  • It is not “cubical” style as there is no relation between faces. Could be a modified version with shapes? Taking in half faces and making relations?
  • May be surface nets or modified version of it? Vertices seems to be on cube corners.

Kind regards,

I had asked James about advice for doing marching cubes a while back. He didn’t mention how Boundless does things exactly; but he did share this resource https://0fps.net/

He also mentioned that Boundless had cubes, then slopes, then bevels, then squares, then lattice.
