So I’m noticing some sound effects with the doors now. Could I be dreaming? This must be part of the recent update and I just didn’t look far enough into the release notes.

I think it is too loud and personally I don’t care for it. Mainly because I’ve never played a game that had that sound.
I’d rather they have focused that time on farming than on sounds of a door opening and closing, but I 'm sure that many like it, so . . . I’ll adjust in time.
Sound design does not take away development time or resources from coding new features… the team can (and does) run multiple projects in parallel. So appreciate these little bits of polish and improvement knowing that future features are not hindered in the slightest!

Remarked to my son how it is so loud. Being the smart (aleck) person that he is he pointed out to me that I am 63, my hearing is bad and that as a person ages they lose the ability to hear high pitched sounds. So, we turn up the volume to hear them. The lower pitch sounds we hear fine, but when we turn up the volume to hear the high pitch, that has the low pitch being too loud.
Brat LOL. It sounds fine to him. To give a idea, my volume is set to 30 so I can hear the birds. That is how bad my hearing is. Can’t afford hearing aides and insurance won’t cover them.
TV gets turned up to 14-18 depending on the channel and program.
