Thanks for all the interesting info in the other thread. Does the above mean it’s unlikely we’ll see new worlds at higher tiers without a higher player population? I wonder how much weight population carries in the algorithm; can you share?
This is definitely worrysome…we are getting flooded with tier 1 and 2 planets yet we only have ONE tier 6 planet (unless im mistaken) and 3 tier 5s.
IMO there should be at LEAST 6 of each, to cover each of the elements properly.
They may have been holding off on releasing new planets until they figured out how to correct their regen algorithm. I’m also down for plotting all of serp to see if a new planet will spawn.
IMO don’t expect more planets before “real” end game is released.
We are around -50% peak population these days (do not lock this post please, poor OP did nothing wrong ).
Hopefully it’s not based on pop and plots on those planets as those are mostly for gathering and adventuring, without turret defenses makes it troublesome to build on t6.
Would make more sense to have a ratio 1 t6 for every 4 or 5 t2 and t1?
So materials are available in relation to overall pop, since higher tier mats cannot be found on lower planets?
Though I do understand devs have rational logic, so I’m sure it will work out
Thread shouldn’t get locked unless it devolves into name calling and rude comments like several have the past week. If people remain civil in their discussions then posts won’t get flagged.
but thats how the algorithm works. (afaik)… if we put enough plots on serp, we want to see if it will cause a new planet to spawn
we can do whatever we want on those planets, they are not restricted to farming or gathering…
I’m not for 100% certain… the devs are quite cryptic when it comes to exact algorithms.
we still need to be able to generate more of the higher tier planets though. we cannot survive and grow with 3 of each high tier planet. not in the long run.
