I am trying to complete the main quest “New World Order.” I am stuck on the step to craft Fresh Vital Essence. I am not getting credit when I craft this.
Is the extractor you are using on your beacon or is it on another character or player’s beacon?
It might need to be on your own beacon to count.

I had the extractor on another toon’s beacon the last 6 times I did it, but that was at least a few weeks ago. This is on a new toon and it is not working now.
Are you making sure that your character is near the Extractor? The task will only be marked off if you were near it when crafting has finished.
If you were, then could you state what recipe / ingredients you were using at the time?
