when a game moves from early access to full release players rightfully should be able to expect a certain level of stability when it comes to game mechanics.
i get in this case with MMO’s nerfs happen its just the way of the MMO life but normally they are not stealth added and are not so big has for people to take a huge hit.
Yeah to any following, I’m done here. I didn’t complain much before the update and I’m not going to devote a lot of time to it now, I feel like my point is clear enough for anyone that wants to see it.
I stocked 28.800 bonding agent into gyosha mall for anyone who’s looking to make some marble now that it’s more affordable, get out there and build.
Well it would be nice if they had released a game that we could all agree was finished but I cannot say it was done. So again, do we not let them create new items or make changes they think will make it a better game and hopefully more attractive to more players to avoid creating issues for current players? Do we not let them balance game mechanics like prestige and get ourselves back into a situation like we had with gleam, where players were spamming an easy material in order to prestige bomb? As far as these being stealth added, the recipe change was available since test so they did not hide that fact. As far as the prestige change, while it was not mentioned directly, when they made the big prestige change the indications were that block’s prestige would reflect the effort to gather/make them. So if a recipe changes, I do think it is reasonable that the prestige would change.
As far as players taking a big hit, this is not the first time this has happened. Lighting affected a number of players, the xp changes have affected a number of players and this release is doing the same. I think we are just going to have to expect it. I do not think it is fair to say this hit is worse or lesser than other hits and do not mean to say one way or the other. This change may not affect me much, but the lighting did. This change may be affecting you a lot but lighting did not. How big a hit it is for a player is really from the perspective of the player.
For the first time ever, a nerf I’m actually happy with… Nerf in the sense that players who spent time making it lost ungodly amounts of time and resources. But all that shiny marble we’re going to see now… plus I can finally open my marble store!
It is honestly damned if you do, damned if you don’t
If you nerf the value that I thought nearly nobody other then myself gave a damn about, people will complain,
If you do not nerf the value, then people will complain that people are making „ugly“ towers out of it on the cheap, just like how people complained about gleam and its „problems“
Nerfs happen, and sometimes people have to bite the bullet. It happens to everybody if one plays online games long enough.
This nerf is not even that bad. It doesn’t really nerf any meaningful game play mechanic at this time. „Prestige“ is more of a Ego thing in my book, as people can be quite happy if they choose to ignore it.
600k?
just do like everyone and dump some prestige somewhere
aqua’s resident prestige hoarder doesnt even blink his eyes before adding 600k
but do it the gentleman way and put it underground
everybody does it they just dont say it lol
also @hAmSTeR86 you like this crazy boss player
just smack some down and go back to being epic
It kind of blows my mind that some of the same people who say “deal with it” to everyone complaining about recipes etc are now complaining about prestige. Prestige! Honestly that is so silly. Prestige is supposed to be a bi-product of a well-rounded build. If you dropped in rankings because you had so much more marble than someone else who didn’t lose as much prestige, guess what- their build is probably cooler than yours
In my old beach town I spent my summers growing up, there was a house made of legit like 90% marble. It cost millionsss of dollars to build. Compared to the other houses in the area it was lame AF. Big hideous rectangular, quite literal, prestige build.
If you want to go with all original prestige numbers from launch, let’s go ahead and bring refined gleam back as one of the highest values, then see how nice everything looks.
Once you have 50x the amount of marble you’ll forget all about this.
lol yea that was bad. Solid month or two of far too much gleam. If marble didn’t lose prestige value with this new recipe we’d have whole cities of marble
After reading all these things about prestige I am so curious to the prestige of my little city after this update. Ill find out when I log in again (tomorrow).
I personally think it would of been a much better decision to keep the prestige the same and give the new blocks higher prestige. Yes some people would still find a reason to complain but they’re would be a whole lot less people complaining right now. There is more than one good argument that justifies why people are upset and disappointed. There is also good arguments as why some shouldn’t be upset. Overall this seems to have brought more division to community than being us together. Like I’ve said I’m not mad I’m just disappointed , but overall I’m glad marble is easier to make.
