If any of you want “stuff” I’m happy to dupe items for you. I’ll just have to remember how.
Total respect if you don’t want that

I wouldn’t know what I want duped either at this point. Thx for the offer. I mean I have pretty much everything I need atm, except maybe condensed carbon. But, they are easy to find, just haven’t been picking them up when I come across them, now I am. I am making a room full of batteries to power my gigantic base on the mountain, can’t find any electromagnetic power; so I have to go all out with Solar Power Farm.
If you’re on your first play through I suggest playing “legit” until you get to endgame
It’s a good game and I don’t want to ruin it for you
But let me know when you get to endgame and I’ll hook you up
I dunno about everyone else, but I play vanilla NMS on normal mode (this is my preference for most games). 99% of the time I am out exploring new planets, gathering resources, looking for new ships/guns/etc.
I am several galaxies out (not in Euclid anymore). I come across a lot of really nice planets. Curious what everyone is looking for - if I find a nice place I can post the location.

That first pic reminds my of my Atlas rises home planet that made me initially fall in love with the game. I had initially said it was green grass, but it was a combination of that turquoise closer to the shore and green in the higher part of the islands… oh the fond memories!! Thanks for posting that… have to find some pics now. Wish boundless had the NMS photo mode!
I wish BL had a photo mode too (BL has better looking clouds/skies hehe). If we could have a camera drone with the fly function that is on the test server, that would be muy bueno. You can get some great shots that way. A few filters would be nice too. Or support for Ansel.
A drone or tech to do a planet fly through With a photo mode in BL would be amazing. Awesome idea.
You left Euclid?
I’d say if we want people to find us we should try to be vaguely near Quetzalcoatl (the galactic hub)
I think once anyone has full access to a Stargate, any planet within the same galaxy is accessible.
The planet I am currently building my main base looks a little like the 3rd photo from the bottom up, minus the snow. But, as I mentioned b4 the only reason I built there was due to necessity, and the location was good because I could build a base on a mountain that overlooks the Stargate. I have teleport substations all the way to the Stargate. I will get a picture the next time I get on NMS.
Update : As promised, here is the screenshot.
My request for a world would be low sentinels and nice big dinosaurs
There’s some nice brontosaurus looking Dinos at my base and they are my friends
Agreed - big diplos would sort of be the ideal, as they are a huge hit with the NMS community. Also agree we should probably stay in Euclid to make us more likely to be stumbled across… proximity to other hubs is tricky though. Close enough to up our odds of being found without stepping on toes by getting too close.
In any case, and in case I go quiet online at any point soon here, I’m totally happy if you all are with a planet really, giving advance yes vote haha. I haven’t used the portals lol, so what I’d just do is (I’m assuming I can do this, for all I’ve played NMS done VERY little but explore here!
) arrange with someone to join their game while they are there then set a base up.
I think what can happen is join up with someone in game, use the Nexus hub’s portal to get there (Using the group’s base option, I think. All this is hypothetical as I have yet to try it out.). That way you can go there and lay down a base. Last time I tried to set up a base going through the Stargate, it didn’t allow you to lay down a base computer to start building.
If i recall correctly you could use the star gate and then go to that systems space station and as long as it was active (not derelict) you could add it to a saved location. Then return to the star gate that originally brought you to that system. After you have returned to the original system, go to the space station in that system and use its teleporter and now the new system should be available to freely travel and set up a base… Its been along time and many revs since I played so not sure if you can still do that.
The last time I did it:
Player 1 used gate
Player 2 joins player 1’s game
Player 1 quits and joins player 2’s game
Now both players can build bases there (I think)
I had read you could do this too, but unfortunately it didn’t work for me a few months ago looking for a hub system. Had to set it as a waypoint and go the long way. So many jumps… but it wasn’t bad in a living ship. I believe we can all use the portal in the nexus maybe? Or just join someones game who’s there already to lay down a base. I’ve never done that but that seems to be what people are doing.
So after spending about 3 days scanning and visiting planets, I have a list of 4 potential planets with the information listed in each of the pictures. I am not sure if anyone else has their list but here is mine, in order of my favourite (top) to my least favourite (bottom). I am actually torn between the first two. (The 2nd pic was included because I love that colour pallet.) Only the planet in the 3rd pic has no storms (I think) (maybe the 1st one has no storms too but not sure), and NONE of them are Paradise planets. It would appear our definition of what a “paradise” is supposed to be differ from what the game thinks it should be.
Any of these have giant diplos on them? Haha
I didn’t stick around long enough to find out.
