No, this is not another “I forgot my password” topic.
I schedule regular computer and phone wipes to keep security up among my different systems. After I complete my wipes, I change passwords for commonly used websites as well. I decided that today was a wipe day and everything has gone smoothly, until I came to the Boundless. There is no direct option on the Boundless website or these forums to change my password.
I did a search and learned that I could use the “Forgot my password” link when logging in to change things, and that will do for now. My suggestion, though, is to add an official change password link somewhere in account settings. It is kind of a user expectation.
While on this subject, and this has been bugging me for a while, why are our forums names the same as our log in names? Why can this not be changed? Figuring out my user name AND password is much better security than my user name being obvious and only needing to guess my password. We should be allowed to choose a different forum name than our user name if our user names can log us in. The other option is to make user log in names e-mail only.
