A great hunt on karma except my stealth modifier wasn’t working even at max I would scare them away and none of my weapons had noise quirk so confused on that. Then I kept missing them every shot I really wanted. And then I would grapple a roadrunner so I could drag it to people because I forgot to bring my sniper and the grapple would unhook and it normally does not . Anyway I’m sure we all got enough turkeys from those roadrunners to get us through the holidays.

that actually happens a lot for me so I gave up on oort bird rides long ago lol

Yeah chasing roadrunners is the challenge I look forward to. Yeah with the right sniper it becomes easy unfortunately I had mine at home cuz my last one broke.Sometimes I’ll hop on evolution and just kill a roadrunners come home with 15 feathers and about 50 to 100 oort Just from that. It’s so much easier when you’re alone on a high tier planet to catch them but the challenge is so much more rewarding the harder it is

I miss times oortbirds were harder to get - now with good weapon and shadow epic it’s too easy.
Grappling is fun though, when it works lol
I do hang around rr spawns sometime - feathers and oort can drop surprisingly fast sometime.

I found that the grapple unhooks if I try to reel them in. If I just drag them they stay attached.

yes indeed - but reeling in is so fun!
btw - in EA one could grapple to big cuttletrunk and go for a ride
initially creatures had size-based momentum (mighty and elite having the most)
smallest size creatures could be pushed by a player by walking into them (regular wildstock or spitter), while bigger ones would push a player; they removed ability to shove small ones around and all creatures can push players equally well now
that old system was cool cause large cuttles would be able to lift a grappled player (and you could shove smaller creatures off a cliff, into holes and gaps etc)

Yeah I was just trying to drag them and giving them slack instead of tugging when they’re stuck behind something normally this will allow you to continue holding them but something happened not to mention my controller has such drift I won’t be surprised if other buttons were sticking. I rebuild my controller once a year unfortunately cleaning the analog components so drift goes away is harder than it should be. I wish it was as simple as calibrating my controller but it is not it’s about time to buy a new controller and start with all new components for the analog. The standard rebuild for the controller is only like $10 once you start buying the parts for the analog sticks it becomes more beneficial to just buy the new controller. But yes I believe today was just a glitch .

I like to have a grapple in both hands drag them with one grapple with the other one so you can get back to where you’re going faster.

Yeah if you have your luck set to max and use epic stealth modifier on evolution which is a t6 planet you should get a pretty good number of feathers. Today we did hunt on karma I walked away with two feathers just from there. Sometimes you can walk past the mob clear them out get a feather go far enough away to wear when you come back a mob spawns in around the same area and you can get another feather I’ve gotten five feathers doing this once from the same mob area. Yes it’s very hard to get a feather when you’re trying to get them It seems but sometimes I just go get a couple hundred adrenal gland and come out with 10-15 feathers not to mention that oort .

are you sure you didn’t have aggravated quirk? or are you sure you were on the right skill page? also higher level roadrunners do have higher senses even with skill points.

So yes I always use the right skill page I have five fully set pages I rotate between gathering foraging hunting traversing and crafting . However I hate to admit pretty sure you’re right about that aggravated attacks quirk since I swapped my sniper as the old one broke I never even paid attention to if it had aggravated quirk on it. Because not only did I have stealth epic but I also had two points and stealth as well and normally I only use two points altogether. So I’ll check that when I’m on next time
