Oortian Gardners need Dibbers

and with that you ask - what the heck is a dibber?
in short - it is a seed planter - (and it’s real too!!).

These can go from very basic (makes a hole (tills ground) to very complex. (makes a hole, plants a seed, auto-reloads for next use).

In terms of Boundless - it should be an advanced tiller. It will plant on tilled soiled, if it not tilled, it will till the soil and plant the seed.
The type of seed to be planted can be identified by “inserting” a seed into the dibber - just like we do to activate an atlas filter. After that - it would plant any seeds of that matching type pulled from regular inventory.

I think the game could support making a range of dibbers including forging traits of tools. For example Area of Effect planting a 3x3 area would be a real time-saver. Tilling and planting remain a very tedious affair of 1 block action when most of the rest of the game (including harvesting) is operating at up to 3x3 area of affect.

I mean c’mon - there’s just so much fun to be had here

and its all real stuff.

I agree I love the farming aspect but planting is such a time sink!
