After a bit of a self-inflicted hiatus from the forums, I just wanted to say I’m going to try and be more active on the forums. To be perfectly honest, these forums and I have a love/hate relationship.

I love these forums because they have been an invaluable tool for me when I need help, want to trade something, or simply want to check out what everyone has been doing. It is always lovely to see like-minded individuals that get me and just why this game is as addicting as it is.

On the other hand, the forums can just be a downer at times. As the great philosopher @Larky stated:

It’s such a simple statement really, but at times reading these forums had just put me in a mood where I didn’t even want to come on here. I would check for a new planet to scan and check for a private message and just get off here asap. It reminds me of watching the news, 95% of it is negative and 5% of the positive is buried inside the 95% of negative. I just got tired of wading through it.

Needless to say, I’m not usually the type to let things get to me and most of the negative posts are just someone expressing their feelings which I feel are very warranted and I suppose I let it get to me that I can’t help them in any way. Not that I should be the one to help, but I think there could be some minor things the devs could do.

Anyways, I’m around if ya need me or just want to chat :slight_smile:

well , thanks for the honors , and another quote that might make you enjoy the game more: dont expect anything, dont feel pressured to do anything , just let the gameplay flow and do what you feel in the moment and your enjoyment to the game will rise exponentinally , and step by step you will move on .
if you look back in a few months , you will see all these small footsteps in the sand that you did in a slow slow pace but realize steadily you have gone a long way and stuff just build up :slight_smile:
while we are super thankful you doing the scanning and stuff, we will manage without them since we dont want them at the cost of your enjoyment , just — just dont do if for a few planets , we wont like you any less for it

Nah none of the scans bother me … just been some of the stuff on the forums. I’ve been in game quite a bit.

This is definitely the piece of perspective that everyone could do with keeping in mind. There’s only been a couple of people who post (or used to post) who I thought were just actively trolling more often than not. Everyone else just loves the game as is, or would love it if they felt it could live up its potential.
