Kids are obsessed with The Very Hungey Caterpillar.
We now have 5 big fat caterpillars on our dining room table 
might be worth noting I am deathly afraid of insects, but have become attached to these guys.
Will update when they spin into cocoons

How cute @Bethlehem! I loved collecting insects as a kid. And i have my 2 tarantulas now.
You should pop a few leaves in there for them and mist them with a spray bottle every now and then

So they come in that pot as eggs. The brown ■■■■ beneath them is the food they need to form properly. The little fatties look well fed Haha. I darent put anything in there incase it kills them.

Ok, so I’m going to hide the pics since some could find them gross (mouse carnage!) but have to share this one too.
So this morning Aslan shows up at the door with this. 
I’m like, "You are NOT coming in here with that! 
" But my husband thinks he might have a chance to save the mouse. I’m like, that mouse is a goner! But he opens the door anyway, and sure enough, Aslan flies by us like a rocket. Take the 2nd pic there, then he hides it under the front door rug, lol. Husband says he’ll throw it out so I figure it is settled at that point and walk away. A bit later he’s like, the mouse is gone. “You didn’t throw it out?!!” Grr, nope, not yet. It is hidden somewhere else… and we had to leave before we could find it.
At least it is definitely dead, but that is a big mouse… gonna have stink mouse here in a few days if we don’t find it or another of the cats don’t pull it out. 
Maybe he’ll eat it… or ate it already.

Here’s my two. They were “Uncle Sam” and “Yankee” at the Humane Society. We liked Sam but not Yankee…so it was actually my mom who came up with Sam and Frodo based on the Hobbits from LOTR 
. Sam has all the white on his face and has the personality of the quintessential grumpy old man. And Frodo is just completely smitten with Sam.
