Placing grass on chiselled dirt blocks

Hey guys,

It would be really nice if I could landscape and place grass on chiselled blocks or have the possibility to place grass blocks which can be chiselled

Unless I am doing something wrong?

Hmm i wonder if the type of chisel matters. I need to try some things when i get off because i have placed grass on sloped dirt before. But this was a natural block that i didnt chisel myself. I also only placed one seed so it only changed the color of the dirt. Will let you know unless someone else chimes in before

grass only works on sloped chiseled block and not beveled.

I have wanted this since EA. there is a reason why it would be difucult but i cant remember what it was.
it would be nice of the devs would add this to there long term goals.

atm only slope chisel allows placing grass - any other chisel used makes planting grass impossible

I think the reason was something to do with messing of the textures between chiselled blocks.

it would be nice to be able to lay grass on beveled and sq chiseled blocks. also to be able to bevel and sq chisele resource blocks like fossles and copper.

We just don’t support square/bevel chiselled grass, and adding it would be a (I cannot understate this) a HuGE amount of work (grass relies on texture blending for the look, and supporting texture blends on square/bevel chiselled shapes would literally be months of mind-numbing work)

Thanks for finding this. I must have missed that one. Guess it will be slopes only…
