I mean, if that actually gives us the availability for water, then I would do it 
I think a good way to prevent grieving is to limit the player created water to only be able to flow within their plots, this could gives us better control of water without going everywhere as well.
speaking of creating water I would prefer the Minecraft way over the Trove way 
I think you are gonna love Houchus I as you can easily find alot of waterfall but the downside is the altitude, I can’t explain it in details as the terrains are random, have a visit to the planet !
