What is the max number of plots a character can own, or is there one?
As far as I know there isn’t one. I think there has been talk of it being needed because of the concern of plotting an entire planet but don’t feel this is a concern because a planets surface consists of 10’s of thousands.

Sweet. If somebody wants to buy/earn an entire planet more power to them but it’d be cheaper to just buy a custom planet if that’s active yet.

I think also if someone griefed by plotting an entire planet the devs would just grief them by launching another planet.

That’s a lot of plots, one would probably have to pay a fair bit of cash to do that.
The devs probably send the player a thank you note, and don’t even notice that the procedural generation system has already launched a new planet.

Each planet has over 311,000 plots (per the Developers) if you just plot the ground level and the planet is flat, buying plots to cover the planet would cost over $12,000USD.

I love that you did the math on this. It is a perfect illustration of why there has been far too much made about “overplotting.” Can we finally end this notion that there is some perceived power in having a lot of plots…
