I can’t find any straight answers to how plots work. I’m building a pyramid and have no idea if I need to buy more plots to stack on top of other plots so that people can’t break off the top of my structure. There is no way of telling how much of s spread one single beacon covers or if it even covers vertically All the plots are 8x8 when highlighted so I bought 50 plots for a single building and have no idea if I even needed so many. Was this by design or am missing something
Plots cover a 8x8x8 area. If you want to build something 10 blocks high you will need 2 layers of plots.
The other quirk of this is you cannot put your plots over/under plots from another player.
Each plot is an 8x8 cube and can be stacked/placed in all 3 directions. You buy them with cubits which you earn through leveling up and then unlock and spend them in the exchange. You add or remove plots with the respective plotting tools which are easy to craft. You only have to have one beacon per group of plots but you can add more. Only one will be the master beacon though even if you have 10 on the same plot group.
depending on if your on pc or ps4 but you can press b button on pc to visible see the plot boxes so you know how much space it covers, not sure what the button is on ps4.
depends on how ambitious you are with your building sizes tbh,i could easily go through 50+ plots in no time…
Press up on direction buttons on ps4 to see yours or others plots.
Thanks everyone . Super helpful … may I ask how many plots per beacon? If my pyramid is 6x6 plots wide and 5 plots tall , will placing a single beacon in its heart cover the footage ? Again sorry if there is a way to tell this with ps4 game mechanics … but I don’t have a manual for the game
well i tend to just chuck on plots till all my lot if covered (currently using 26 plots for my “starter house”,i build big,my grand idea will take hundreds…) however it should cover it as the exact size of a single plot is 8x8x8
my starter house (not grand like some builds, had to reign that side of me in a bit but i also favor efficiency early on)
You can have one beacon for any number of plots. I had 1 beacon covering 700 plots in the old universe.
O_O,what the hell did you build lol (think biggest i had in old world was 250 odd)
You guys/gals are Awesome! ️ Thank you so much You helped me understand this which in turn brought me joy. Can’t thank you enough
no problem ,ever get stuck with anything dont be afraid to ask
Wonderous! Beautiful! ️
The advantage now is, we have all the time we want to build and it will never go away.
The reason I love this game. I can build things. Small things, large, colorful, underground, underwater, floating in the sky, anything I can think of I can at least try to build.
Well said and well done
Can I pile on a question? Can you move a beacon? Like I have a 3x3 grid of plots and the beacon is in the middle. Can I move it over into one of the corner plots somehow?
Or failing that, can I add a second beacon and somehow make it the ‘master beacon’ and then delete the original beacon?
(I want a ‘garden’ in one corner of my ‘yard’ and for the beacon to be out in the garden…but I did not plan ahead very well!)
@Traellan Exactly as you said, place a new beacon where you want it within your plots then make it the master beacon and then you can remove the first one.
