My vote is that they’ll push it Thursday and do a marketing push on Friday for the anniversary but, as I said in the release notes thread, who knows? The devs don’t really tell us anything.

To be fair, I’m really glad they’re taking the time to get it right.
I do know they will not release it on a Friday though, as it’s a massive update, and they would have less hands-on-deck to resolve any potential issues that may arise.

Seeing as we still don’t have information or confirmation on which profiles are available, the level of control renters have over the specifics of world gen (biomes, water vs lava, etc. etc.), prices, sizes, and oh so much more…
I’m not holding my breath for anything. At this point they’re saying release is happening soon but we still know less than we don’t know…
Just kills me that they had sovereigns in a good place but have held off on releasing them for months to bundle them together with creatives. Of course I’m biased b/c I couldn’t care less about creative worlds so there’s that. But still it feels like a nice 1.0 rental world launch with just sovereigns could’ve worked followed by a secondary launch with creative worlds and improvements on UI or website or whatever needed tweaked following the sovereign launch.
But alas here we are.

I fear only in my imagination do I ever get to use a lance/shield against a new monster while wearing things that aren’t a diaper 
it is “close”, last bits of fixes and getting the player worlds shop ready. James should have some news soon. Also the placeholder update post should show you how close we are 
sorry its taken a while with this one, has proven to be a lot more complex than we first hopped.

I mean the farming update was released on a Thursday. That’s not much time either. And I know there was at least one update released on a Friday.

Sorry for fact checking, but this made me curious.
So I updated my patch dates spreadsheet to show days of the week.
- Farming was released on a Tuesday. (The test server release of farming was on a Thursday)
- Since 1.0 we had 10 releases on Tuesdays, 11 on Wednesdays, 3 on Thursdays and 0 on Fridays and Mondays.
- A lot of test server releases drop on Fridays, 13/25 since 1.0 happend on a Friday.

Yeah Fridays are a bad day for updates, if something goes wrong it wouldn’t be fair to call people in over the weekend to fix it
