Potential Wonderbuild - Atlantis / And Waterfalls

Besides the asthetic aspect of it, it would stop things like large towers of water. Unless it was obviously contained or there was another source block. Obviously the water would still fall together for a time, and you could say, 100 blocks or so.
Pros:

  • Looks cool.
  • Stops water grief
  • Stops water poles.
  • No one else has done it, helps make Oort unique
I am sure there are others.

Cons:

  • No one else has done that. So that is a lot of work for you guys.
  • People would find a work around, but thats going to happen.

Plot twist they already secretly coded it into Gasan hence the never ending rain

One could break down a water-block into sub-polygons - In a way lots of small pyramidal polygons. The further a waterstream falls downwards, the more minivoxels ā€˜undock’ from another while spinning a little. and maybe get translucent and vanish while falling even more. This would be my personal idea, how I’d want it to be, but it’s contrary to kind of photorealistic graphicstyle. With uncountable particles. As far as I know - this is the next gen graphic opulence like in Uncharted on PS4.

well i may just need to try find out for meself then xD

Plant crops underneath so you don’t have to bother watering manually!

Well basicly the main funtion would be that you can’t make stupid endless water(block)falls. I thought that could make an mainly better visual aspect, also (because normally the Water would just go on if it hits the ground, as soon as it it rain it won’t fill the ground with water anymore! Maybe as long as it it heavy rain it would still turn into waterblocks on the ground but not as normal rain anymore.

Additional:
You could also let spawn verly light clouds around the Waterfalls to let it look even more impressive ^^

Actually you would only have around a 15 block radius of light rain as max. per waterfall and I don’t belive there will be Waterfalls all the way. So you wou#dlnt even notice it as real rain. You’ll get that it comes from an Waterfall.

Well if you’ve played Voxel games you should know that thats part of the system. But if I’m wrong tell me @james.

It wouldnt create an necessity, but it would be an possible feature to combine this with.

I can tell you how still to make those Water poles, just let your waterfall on steps  Let it hit something every 20 blocks and it will ā€œresetā€ so for the system its a new Waterfall that will fall down another 20 blocks until it turns into rain.
I think that should still be possible for people who might need those poles for an project or something.

That sounds like it would eat my RAM xD

Btw. I hope you’re okay with the eddit I did on your Title :3 ^^
