I should have responded to this when you posted it. Just put 24 coils on everything when you’re able to do so

Refining rock and other non power required items just use uncoiled machines

As a personal note, I think 8 extra coils are the perfect balance between cost and reward.

EDIT: Column 4 is the gain from adding one more coil, so from 8 to 9 you get an extra 1.08% and from 13 to 14 you don’t get even a 0.1% increase.

EDIT 2: This is using Advanced Power coils of course.
