I frequently quote spark requirements against soft coal because it’s 100 spark per unit (a nice round nmber) and the most common coal. It used to be readily available at 1c/piece making it around the same market value as compact peat in most cases. For some reason it went up, and stayed up.
Trunk is also super easy spark at 30 spark per block.
