Without reading the other comments… I would like to see Tavern decor so I can set up my guild, and I suppose since there’s all the different colored flowers some craftable flower arrangements. I know people like to display their armor and tools/weapons on a stand/racks. I know I glimpsed flags and banners while quickly scrolling down so +1 to that. When you say props are they stuck to where they are placed or would a soccer ball count? And might these props have animations?
I feel that signs are definitely the most important thing right now. Cosmetics like couches and shelves are less essential.
Skin/hide rugs & wall hangings from the various hostile mobs, paintings, customizable banners and signs
pots for flowers and bonsai trees, statuary
hanging lamps, chandeliers, post lamps
draw bridges, portcullis’ & gates
furniture, tables, chairs (we should be able to sit in the chairs and put things on the tables)
shelves and racks for storage and displaying items, tools and wearables (I don’t think that shelves should be limited to books)
Personally this is how i think it would be cool if it was done
the simpler version would just be something like WOWs Tabard creator where you could make an emblem from already existing templates, would be great if we do that with a bit of text, but i guess it will prob end in the simplest possible where the signs are just premade ‘‘weaponshop, armorshop, inn’’ which would also work.
Or those glowing little fairys like in “The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time”
I’m not trying to beat down your comment in any way, but I found it humorous in my mind that you could of used a ton of much shorter descriptions like: Hey! Listen! or “Like Navi/Tatl”
I’d really like sword displays, and armor stands.
Some excellent ideas there, that’s really helpful.
Please feel free to keep posting in here with more ideas – the more the better.
Thanks!
Ollie.
I think it would be great if you could make props that uses animal parts in the game, for example a mohawk pig rug or a set of doug horns over the fireplace, like generally something that uses the animals which then later could actually NEED mats dropped from killing the animals, that and trophies in general.

EDIT: would also really love banners or tapestry, carpets maybe, something that will make homes feel more like homes and allows for decoration of big buildings such as castles.
I’m not sure if this is apt to the game, but maybe have a larger plant or a different tree-class which attracts the floaties. These flying particles. When they get near a tree or a larger plant they fall down to earth like snow. One could gather this material below those trees/plants. And use it as a ressource. If u collect to much, the tree’s floating energy for floating treeleaves is to low, ergo no tumbling/floating treeleaves. One could also gather the floaties and nurture all kind of plants, trees or even animals with it. Or use it for crafting a floating device. Like a ship or or a floating chip.
I don’t know how to make a logical twist why those floaties should fall down on earth at a tree. It would be a bit sad. Again they nurture the tree. In particular tree leaves.
Man if you cant interact with props ie: sit on chairs / touching plants illuminate etc, ima get so pissed
That being said i feel like we should just have themed decor like
Aquatic theme decor : coral reef plants / sea shells that open and close / giant swordfish like props
Jungle theme decor : monkey on a vine / donkey kong esk drums that make noise when you hit them .
Stuff like that, i think id be simple after we get the usual prop stuff out of the way we can do polls on what majority of us want for themed props or props in general, then when its picked we all come to the forums and let the devs pick out some ideas from there. Idk -shrugs-
why… would you touch a plant?
Generally, I imagine it being a thrill to see the entire floaties fall down to earth in quite a blink.
Similar to a worldly heartbeat. With them being
the allsorounding blessing which starts regenerating the world and soil. It would be a strong visual signal.
I think he means that plants respond when you interact with them like the mimosa pudica plant:
Or the Helicoradium spirale from Avatar.
Add seasonal themes to this like spring themes being bright green and plesant, fall themes being orange or brown, possibly somewhat twisted and gnarled, even spooky. Winter themed things could appear to collect snow on them or have a holiday vibe.
Personally i dont think we have seasons as such, i think it would be great to have biome specific props, almost the same given that seasons kinda are showed in biomes, but it would make more sense in my opinion, forexample volcanic probs for lava biomes, ice props for ice biomes. etc…
but just a personal opinion ofc (and we could just have both i guess)
@olliepurkiss, I think going along with what @Zouls, @Havok40k, and a few others have asked for is the idea that props should come in different colors. Whether this is through a separate “dye” system or just crafting with dyes is up to the devs, but I think having a spectrum of colors to choose from when decorating where the only difference is skin color is something that will make many players happy (and thus devs happy )
Well no, In game there are no seasons in the game per se, but players may feel the need to make their builds festive durring certain IRL seasons. It would be a cool way to capture that festive vibe for the game.
Also, some of those themes may fit well in a world’s environment, ex Xmas wintery seasonal themes on a frozen biome.
I’d support this. Festive items are fun, but probably a backburner idea for now. But it’d be sweet to hold events at least even partially similar to those found in shows like Log Horizon or like those found in games such as GW2.
