Typically I purchase games on my PS4 account and the rest of the family can play them.
For example, if I purchase the Digital Deluxe edition, does that mean the others in the house will get those bonuses?
I understand that after purchase, any in-game purchases will be on a per-player basis - I just want to make sure that I don’t have to purchase the game many times to play it on one device.
Thanks for your efforts in creating what I hope to be an awesome gaming experience.
PS There was one other game that forced us to purchase more than once - Fortnite, and we’ve decided never to support or purchase anything from Epic ever again. That kind of opportunistic profiteering is for banks and other social criminals - not community minded organisations like we hope Wonderstruck is
One way to do it is to buy extra character slots with cubits, once you create a character they are pretty independent of each other in that they earn their own cubits, coins, levels and plots, they are also already friended with each other.
I think its the best way to have a family on one system. You cant have more than one online at a time but of course on one system thats all you can expect
When you hit lvl 7 and not spend any cubits for plots (like the tutorial urge you), you should have enough cubits for another character, buy that character slot, delete existing character, create in it’s place new one, level it to 7, buy yet another character slot, repeat
To get to lvl 7 you’ll need about… an hour? If you are totally new to game.
To level quick just make some stone tools, and use it to mine, gather soil, or plants. Mining rocks is best I think, because then you can (in workbench) turn every rock to 2 stones (or 4 into 10) and then you get additional XP just for placing those rocks onto ground
Actually yes you can but dont need to. You could level up to i think level 7 to get enough cubits to buy a character slot (600 cubits) and then buy the next character slot with the 2nd character because the cubits are easier to get at a lower level
But if you wanna avoid having to level up to do that and you’re willing to spend a few more bucks then absolutely you can do that too
That’s also 100% true, nobody is forcing you to do tedious low level grind, just to get additional character slots, you can buy them and support Wonderstruck
Thanks so much for the quick answers. All sounds excellent, and yes I haven’t played yet - just been pestered to purchase by a very keen young man
Just to clarify, if another member of the family logs into their account on the PS4, then starts Boundless, they will be able to choose one of the character slots I have created to play?
I’ll find out for myself, but if you don’t mind me asking, does this mean any other purchases are shared between those characters?
No, Cubits are per character based. If char A buys thousand cubits, Char B won’t get any of it.
I can’t wait until my son is old enough to play with me games like Boundless. So far it’s it’s cardboard games and the little guy is the one that twists all the rules
No problem! Glad to help
When you load up the game even after somebody else was playing you end up in the sanctum, at which point you can change characters
On Steam you can family-share the game across different pcs and and everyone can create their very own account, you just can’t play at the same time (like with every game that you family-share on steam).
Maybe it works the same way on ps4 when you launch the game with a different user?
I haven’t tried, no promises!
