Hello, I’ve finally have the funds to support the game and I was curious, which is better to get the game from, here on the Oort main page or on Steam? Do the packages from Steam offer the exact same rewards given to the pricing from the Oort Page?
Also if I were to upgrade my computer to something different would I need to re-purchase the game to have it on my new system and would my character settings and such (for final game) cross-over?
Hi Hyllfr, Well from what I know steam keeps a percentage of the sales so if it were me I would purchase from the oort site for maximum support. And depending on the tier you get you should get a steam key even from buying it on the site.
If you upgrade your computer you will be able to download it again from steam on the new computer via the steam key.
As far as character information being reset when the final game is launched, its still unsure whether or not there will be a reset of all data.
Oh but Steam doesn’t mention anything that I can find with the stuff like;
1x Instant Access
Reserve your username
Vote on feature roadmap
Exclusive “Adventurer” title
Craft exclusive weapon
Craft exclusive wearable
Your name in the credits
Original Soundtrack
Access to World Builder
The $55 tier (adventurer) on the official Oort site contains the following:
1x Instant Access
Reserve your username
Vote on feature roadmap
Exclusive “Adventurer” title
Craft exclusive weapon
Craft exclusive wearable
Your name in the credits
Original Soundtrack
Access to World Builder
Therefore it is advisable to order from the official Oort Online website in order to recieve the maximum backer benefits available.
"3) You should buy the game from this site, they give the same things but when you buy it from the site, they get all the money and if you buy it from steam they take a percentage of the money "
