Putting coal into Spark Generator

Hello everyone.

I just have one suggestion to bring on the table about fuel.
The UI tells me “135.0 Spark/s”, yet I get credited for these sparks when the coal is consumed (which is fine, when you think about it, the only fix for that would be to give each piece of fuel its own life points).

Problem is, the UI provides no information about how long a piece of coal will take to be consumed.

This should be an information displayed for each stack of fuel. Maybe a small bar above or below each stack that slowly empties-itself?

Yay or nay?

I think this would be helpful to gauge how long until you will have spark to use from the current fuel.
Though if I recall correctly I believe it takes about 8 mins for a compact hard coal to be consumed.

Yay.

Furnaces already have this “life bar” for the fuel, so the mechanic already exists in game and just needs to be added to spark generators.

I just throw stuff in the spark generator then come back the next day…

I agree, it would be helpful.

Sometime I have like a million spark and I put more coal on time, to be free of waiting for it, but sometime I run low on spark and want to craft a lot right away and I find I don’t have enough. I calculate it roughly using my knowledge of how much spark there is in a single compact coal block, and that makes me aware how much time before I get needed spark.

However, I would prefer what’s suggested here much more.:sunglasses:

Yes it should be displayed, but a bit of math does pretty well.

Fuel’s heat ÷ spark/s = how long you wait
