To be claimed, a plot initially requires a Beacon Control to be placed and fueled - once the area is claimed, the control block is no longer necessary.
What does it mean by the CONTROL BLOCK?
Are they talking about the Beacon itself?
Because, if I delete a beacon, then the plot disappears.
It means only one control block needs to be placed i.e. the beacon control to then add plots connecting to the control block.
But you can add more beacons controls within a build of you wish and you can set one as a master beacon
If you need to move the beacon control once you start building then you have to place another beacon control first and make it master so you can then destroy the other
What you’re quoting there is a bit confusing. A “Beacon” consisting of multiple plots will always need a minimum of 1 Beacon Control. Maybe they mean the campfire also acts as a “Control Block” to start with, but once you placed a Beacon Control, the campfire is no longer needed, and the Beacon Control takes over as the Master?
actually I think that text is from an older version of the game, where you used to be able to have a claimed and fuelled plot without a beacon control anywhere in the plot.
in the current game this is no longer possible, you have to have at least one beacon control in a fuelled plot. that would be set to master beacon by default.
it is also possible to have multiple beacon controls in the same plot, usually for symmetry or decoration… they will all function exactly the same as the master beacon except one will be set as “master beacon”
Also the control block is the same thing as the beacon control in that context.
We will have a look into that description. Do you know where you saw it? Doing a search for your wording isnt bringing up any results in our master text file
