Also, If you want to stay near Quark, we can clear a spot for you in the actual town if you would like that. We reserved most of the island so trolls couldn’t move in.
It’s been a while since I started a new character. If I remember right you start with two plots available. If you have those plots in use you can’t plot more until you use cubits to get some. 2 more plots is 60 cubits I think. You should have that much by now.
Campfires use two plots to start. Beacon Controls only use one, but require fuel. You buy plots as part of the tutorial, but only have a limited amount of them. Your inventory screen will show your used/total plots.
If you have a crafting table at your original area, craft a beacon control and fuel. Go to your new space, put down the beacon control, fuel it, and you’ll claim that space, if you have 1 plot available.
If you have no plots available, you’ll either have to purchase more with Cubits, or release some by crafting a Plot Remover.
In the menus, there’s one called places. Pick that and you’ll see an option called locations. At the top is your current location. You can save it and track it there.
Campfires I believe always require 2 plots. One plot where you place the campfire and a second plot either above or below that. A beacon control will only require one plot to place
First of all - whenever you want to create a new settlement, you simply craft yourself a beacon using your existing home base. You take it with you and place it in a chosen spot - no need to go through campfire and so on.
If you are in the wild and spontaneously want to place beacon in a spot you have just found and you don’t have a beacon in your inventory, than you have to go through campfire stage. There is no circling there at all - it goes like this:
Craft Campfire
Place it (you need 2 plots available as it always uses 2 - and always takes 2 vertically )
