I found a better area then my original site.

But I can’t place a campfire in my new spot.

It says I need 2 plots in order to place it.

I didn’t have this restriction when I started my first area.

So, obviously I’m missing some game mechanic here. If anyone could point me in the right direction I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks

As you progress you will earn cubits. In your menu, go to the exchange and you can buy more plots.

obviously u dont have 2 free plots  u need to have 2 free plots avaiable

You probably don’t have enough plots available. You’ll need to deplot your old site or he more in the exchange menu.

And you don’t need a campfire to claim a new spot, just put a beacon down and fuel it.

Also, If you want to stay near Quark, we can clear a spot for you in the actual town if you would like that. We reserved most of the island so trolls couldn’t move in.

Ok

But why didn’t I have this requirement for 2 plots when I first started the game?

That’s, what I don’t understand.

Thanks

The tutorial tells you to buy two plots for 60 cubits in the store.

It’s been a while since I started a new character. If I remember right you start with two plots available. If you have those plots in use you can’t plot more until you use cubits to get some. 2 more plots is 60 cubits I think. You should have that much by now.

Campfires use two plots to start. Beacon Controls only use one, but require fuel. You buy plots as part of the tutorial, but only have a limited amount of them. Your inventory screen will show your used/total plots.

If you have a crafting table at your original area, craft a beacon control and fuel. Go to your new space, put down the beacon control, fuel it, and you’ll claim that space, if you have 1 plot available.

If you have no plots available, you’ll either have to purchase more with Cubits, or release some by crafting a Plot Remover.

OK.

To build a Beacon I need the crafting table, but in order to place that down it says I need a beacon.

It’s like a circle.

Also, I have 1 plot on me but I can’t place it.

This is really confusing. Ugh.

Do I need to go to my original camp and build the beacon?

Do you still have your beacon you placed yesterday? You can place the crafting table there.

Is there a way to get coordinates of where my new campsite is lo ated, or does the game have any way to place down markers?

I’m afraid I won’t find this spot easily again.

Why do they use two? What do the plot?

In the menus, there’s one called places. Pick that and you’ll see an option called locations. At the top is your current location. You can save it and track it there.

YOU DONT HAVE ENOUGH PLOTS. Sorry I just wanted to say the same thing everyone told you.

Campfires I believe always require 2 plots. One plot where you place the campfire and a second plot either above or below that. A beacon control will only require one plot to place

@SirGreenDay Did you get my PM?

Places > location > your coords

Happy to come and help if you want.

First of all - whenever you want to create a new settlement, you simply craft yourself a beacon using your existing home base. You take it with you and place it in a chosen spot - no need to go through campfire and so on.

If you are in the wild and spontaneously want to place beacon in a spot you have just found and you don’t have a beacon in your inventory, than you have to go through campfire stage. There is no circling there at all - it goes like this:

  1. Craft Campfire
  2. Place it (you need 2 plots available as it always uses 2 - and always takes 2 vertically )
  3. Craft and place Crafting Table
  4. Craft Beacon
  5. Place Beacon
