Currently, both circa and Tana are blue since they are lush, even though circa requires protections. And serp is grey. But gyosha, which is “safe”, is orange. This isn’t helpful to newer players.
Safe worlds should be blue and green. This intuitively indicates “safe”
Worlds that need atmosphere protection should be red, purple, orange and yellow (or something like that). Perhaps the more vivid the color, the higher level protection needed. And the color could indicate protection type.
This would help newer players more.
It would also be nice if each world were a different shade of blue and green (for t1-t3).
I think this is a great idea. I remember trying to traverse the PS network when i only had 1 of the atmosphere skills. I had no idea if i could see on the next planet or not.
Always thought the portal color depended on the world’s fog-color or something, but I never actually tried looking into it.
Also, that reminds me, sometimes, I see people using portal conduit in builds and the runes and glowing in odd colors, like purple or red. Would that be a trick I’ve yet to understand? Or is it just a glitch?
it would be interesting if we could change the portal color to any color. fixed colors are rather limiting for hub designs. the danger level could be indicated maybe by different shimmers or additional particle effect ( like snowflakes or ash going through the portal), but personally, I never had a problem navigating the universe in early game, the flashing red message was enough
EDIT: but I have to admit that I until now I thought that Gyosha was a tier 4
The display warnings when you look at the portal. Plus the atmosphere in the portal looks foggy instead of clear. Also it showcases the color of the atmosphere I think. So you’re asking for an additional entry in that message I would think a simple a green/red warning would be better than trying to shift colors all over the place.
