When your game is supported by pillars and you keep chopping these pillars down………your game will crash even sooner than it would by itself.
Marcel surely is a pillar of support to this game, you guys and girls chopped him down foolishly .
I was told by several players that this was about Marcel saying something to someone on HIS stream and that person reported it.
The people running Monumental or this forum should have no concern about what is said in the stream only what is done or said in game.
They have no authority outside the game or forum.
I was threatened once on my stream by host with violent actions from him, i reported that and i got told by Tiggs that it was of no concern to here because it was not in game .
If the good people of Monumental want to do something concerning boundless or the players ……start promoting it and stop destroying it.
Never had personal issues with Marcel0206, he is a good guy.
Funny to see that with some older banned players it took years to be banned yet other people get banned in no-time.
Flagged posts get reviewed and if they break TOS they get removed. As a moderator we can all see the flags, see who flagged and make a decision on the flag.
That said, people were banned. It is Monumental’s stance to not discuss that. I’m not a Monumental employee, I just help moderate the forums.
No one jumps to being banned instantly, there are warnings, temp bans, and then ultimately a perm ban. I personally hate seeing anyone banned, even people I’ve had disagreements with, but if they break the rules whether I like them or not, even if they were just defending themselves, sadly they still broke the rules and risk being taken action against.
While the forums are a place to discuss the game, there are still rules to follow.
Please keep the forums and this thread civil and constructive or it will just get removed.

Making a Ban official and transparent would be a good Thing.
In that case there wouldn t be rumours.
So IT seems they could do everything they want and nobody knows If its correct or not.

In a living Game and Forum are Always controverses thats normal and thats good otherwise both dies…
I’m appalled that Marcel has been banned, he is a canon player, all of the old timers have attended his hunts, bought his forged goods, received prizes to various events donated by him or visited his builds. I can’t speak for any ban since I don’t know the circumstances, but people I trust have and that’s enough for me. Marcel has been a big part of the good experience of playing this game, I’m sad he is leaving like this after supporting it for so long.
I think there are plenty of critical comments on the forums and quite a few in this thread. However, posts do get removed and flagged.
Bans are not discussed by Monumental. I do know they would not ban someone without reason. I personally understand why they are not discussed, because in the end someone broke a rule and got reprimanded, a discussion isn’t going to change that. In most games, a reason isn’t given to anyone why someone is banned, except to that player.
Own hosted Servers would be great so banned people could Play further …or small groups could Play together without Others WHO are trolling or something ealse.
True, granted that’s why I always liked sovereigns you could keep to yourself and avoid trolls. I could play with whomever or no one and mind my own business.
As far as being banned, it would be no different than other persistent world games. Star Citizen for example.
