Making things harder to make, or adding additional higher tier ingredients to simpler recipes at this stage seems like a bad idea. The grind was already pretty hefty. It has interrupted a lot of peoples attempts at building because they now find themselves forced to gather new materials they otherwise didn’t need.
Does anyone have any insight on all the recipe changes? Do we have a full list yet?
Indead of adding, can they remove stuff instead? Like removing Sackcloth and Glue from Copper and Iron Tools?
Cause I mean serious, you’re just changing the materials, so why do they need 2 extra steps over wood and stone? Especially two items your not going to find in the wild, and would need to look up a guide, to find out how to even make them, and just adds on 3 extra items you have to farm to death.
All it does is make people have to grind more, get frustrated at the basics in the game, and doesn’t make any sense logically either.
I really like the new recipes so far.
As a gatherer I feel like the time invested farming plants will be more appreciated.
18 waxy earth for 100 wax is a little too much imo.
It should be 18/50.
I gather like 30 waxy earth in 10 min with full speed and gather epic.
Agreed. Waxy earth are easy to gather and actually i never gathered them earlier cause why? Now they have quite a nice use.
As for glowing lamela - man, its actually easier to gatherer than reactive lamela and i’ve got it more of it on Basservona than i had gathered fibrous leafs while cutting every plant i saw… Thats actually extremely common now. And shimmering orbs are a bonus. Or the other way around…
Did you know you could get fibrous leaves from regular lush leaves? It’s a rare drop but there, and iirc waxy leaves drop fleshy leaves and exotic drops inky, could be wrong about the last two, or all leaves could drop a combination of the three
Oh i know how to farm them. I’ve only wanted to say that on basservona glowing lamelas were more frequent than fibrous leaves At least i’ve gathered more of them while targeting all plants and walking around.
I did not believe this, so I went out and tested it.
First of all, this is plausible before or after because reactive lamella, glowing lamella, and leaves are all most plentiful in different areas on Besevrona. If you go out looking for one, you won’t find many of the others.
All plants are much more plentiful now, more so than at launch even. In about 30-45 minutes I found:

I did not gather every plant/mushroom I saw. I obviously preferentially targeted high-value resources unique to Besevrona.
For anyone looking for reactive lamella, look in shallow water. It’s in deep water too, but the ones in shallow water are much safer to get.
I don’t have a list yet but I did see this with the brick. I understand they are wanting to give us a use for the ash and mud but doing it they way they did isn’t a good answer IMO. It just had me having to grind more to make what I was making before without getting anything extra for it. Plus the XP is so low on blocks now that it truly sucks. What would have been a better way to do the use for ash and mud is make a new block for us with a cool texture that we could make using them. Maybe a different textured brick or something.
I am sitting here so annoyed with all the nerfs and changes in the game this last patch and not knowing if I want to even play it anymore.
I finally found something I’m upset about from the update, lol.
I thought crafting needed to cost far less across the board. For example: Too many things either require power that shouldn’t or require too much and It takes entirely too many blocks to refine stone or wood (should be dropped to five).
We really needed NEW uses for gravel and mud, Like cement and adobe, not to add them to already overly complicated recipes.
There are so many things that should be basic crafting that is locked until high levels (anything requiring power) and weapons like copper and iron require more materials than they are worth. Better to just use stone.
This is how I felt when I first started. When I started playing they had just did a patch that made tools require Fibrous Leaves. I thought it was stupid but it was never removed.
The game is already very grind heavy, and very basic materials in other games take so long to farm and be of use in this game. The game is pretty much hindering itself. It’s making a niche of only a few dozen players. And while a trinkle of new people might come in right now, now that the game is offically release. People are going to eventually wise up and ward others away.
I mean it’s pretty bad when both games that this game is compared to, Minecraft and No Man’s Sky, are easy and more noob friendly. Heck, any other Survival game is much better, because the ‘Tiers’ for items are usually changing 1 or two items out for a second. Like the tools in Minecraft you just need a different material. Here you need a different material, and 2 new materials you’ve never seen, interacted with, nor know how to get, let alone figuring out you need to make both items, from things that don’t even make sense.
