Recurring Crash

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Users\Meowmere\AppData\Local\Temp\WER915B.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
C:\Users\Meowmere\AppData\Local\Temp\WERABB1.tmp.appcompat.txt
C:\Users\Meowmere\AppData\Local\Temp\WERABE1.tmp.mdmp
I get that crash every time I start the game, this has happened to me before, but I got a new PC when it was happening.

I installed java, now it just does

Boundless - Running (steam)
(3 seconds)
Boundless

I looked in task manager, boundless launcher win is opened but not doing anything.

Can you attach those files here? or paste them into https://gist.github.com/ and share the links?

boundless.exe - System Error

The program can’t start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

OK

also the files didnt exist for some reason, this is an error I got from direct launching
see, the problem is that I already have vredis 2015 and 13 installed

Perhaps this solves it ?

Anyone else getting these issues?

What OS are you running on?

There are a few version of the Visual Studio Redistributables. We should be using 2015 update 3

Not sure why you cant install them. Make sure you’ve run window updates.

You do need the Windows 7 Service Packs installed.

The OS install date is odd “OS Install Date: Dec 31 1969”

Not sure, I bought this computer from a website, they might have something to do with it. Updates were never installed on my PC…

RIP

welp, gonna be a long week.

install Ram, asm much as you can. limitely 16 gig if its possible.slam ram. simple as that.

wat… I have no clue what you mean

yea me neither

Is there Linux support yet? I bought a computer just so I could start playing Boundless. It’s amazing how much more system intensive windows 10 is, compared to lubuntu.

I tested ubuntu with usb stick mode on my system and i had way less FPS than with W10 in metro 2033. Had like all time at 120 fps in W10 and 50-80 fps in ubuntu and lots of crashes  I quess GTX 1080 will never work in ubuntu because of pascal architecture.

That could have a lot to do with the read/write speed of your flash drive, but keep in mind that Ubuntu uses Unity and is going to be slower than Lubuntu which uses LXDE. Either or both of these things could cause it to run slower than in an optimized system. No idea about the crashes though, I don’t ever have that problem, so I can’t really help you out with that. I hope you’ll give it another chance, though; you may find that someone has since wrote up a driver for GTX, and that it works for you now. Best of luck!

At any rate, I personally plan on continuing to use Lubuntu as my primary desktop OS, so it would just be nice to not need to reboot my computer every time I start or stop playing a game.

I fixed it!!!
I had to download 300 major updates.

Awesome and WOW! That must’ve taken you many hours.
