It seems like the specular and/or reflection layer on refined blocks is too high and it is washing out the actual color of the source material. I’ve included the black metamorphic stone and the refined stone side by side here, and the refined is very silver where the source stone is super black. I still think it looks good, but it was definitely not what I was expecting and will probably make me less interested in hunting down rock colors.

I absolutely agree. I can’t stand the extreme reflectiveness nor tiled blocks so refined blocks are a double no lol.
They’re super useful on surfaces you don’t want people to look at/ focus on lol.
Please fix, so many building opportunities
