Remove Coffers? [POLL]

You really don’t think the appearance of coffers factors into the description of excessive monetization especially with how they look so much like a mobile phone games cash shop?

Life isn’t black and white. The lack of the words loot boxes doesn’t preclude the possibility coffers have an effect.

And given the state of the industry and general disgust players have of developers right now I can’t see a single argument for why keeping coffers makes any sense whatsoever unless removing them would cost the developers a ton of money.

No one who currently plays is going to quit if coffers get replaced or removed.

Lol Trove is free to play not 40$

Try charging 40$ for Trove and see what happens. Not to mention they have a super small Dev team and their parents company just went bankrupt basically lol.

Trove is free until a certain level.

Trove is f2p unless you decide to buy something @Blackmage2015

Ppl are familiar with the game now and I’m sure they’d gladly pay that. I know I’ve spent $$$ on it already.

I personally thing BL would benefit from the F2P, but keep charging for the GC & rent worlds model.

Trove is free. Period. Unless you choose to buy something.

I stopped playing that game because I had nobody to play it with.

Such a shame cause I thought the game was a fun little causal game.

I got trove for my son awhile back pretty sure it caps you at a certain level unless they changed it this pass year. Along with only giving access to certain character types.

:frowning:

I run two clubs w hundreds of members. I like their shadow towers and world dungeons - lots to do.

Nope. You can gain all characters for free. You can hit the character level pretty quickly, but the mastery level is almost infinite. Takes years to get in the top %

Lots to do, yes.

I just don’t have any friends that got into it so I stopped playing. That’s the point I was making. Kind of like what’s going on with this game, except there’s much less content.

Anyways, I am done being off topic.

Will have to check it back out then he liked the game but couldn’t progress I never played to Much so will have to dive back in.

100% agree with that, I just think that the stupid coffers are also a problem. I find them irritating, but ignore them. I know what they are.
Unfortunately, I have read reviews on the game, chatted with players on the forum I belong to and many are confused, what are the coffers, are they play 2 win, do you have to pay money?
And they feel that the lock of content means the game is too high priced, 20 bucks would be a fair price.
I also think, but another topic, they should have had a 5 dollar a month fee for use of the servers. Many MMOs have them. It is too late now, but they should have thought ahead. Members of the forum may disagree with me, and that is their privilege. Just my opinion.

You can progress quicker now by using the adventure outposts in Neon City. You just stand there, accept the quest, punch some pinatas, and level up lol. Then you take your time fine-tuning your character with gems & weapons.

I fully agree it would support the development team creating content faster. The problem is they left early access way to fast. Oh well

This is correct. They should still be in early access and for another year or two.

I blame Square Enix for that disaster they forced upon the devs.

Yup. Devs really need to create some new marketing materials and info geared towards new players - looking through their eyes. This game has a learning curve, and a lot of people looking at the game can’t get the gist of it just from the current info provided to them.

So where’s the evidence that this is how people feel?
Other than you that is.

1000000% agree. This game plays like a playable beta. It’s not complete enough & doesn’t have enough content to be considered a full retail version. People might be more forgiving & understanding if it was marketed as “early access” with updates and changes.

this is incorrect, Cubit purchases in the store (either psn or steam) use the exact same icons as reward coffers, it is these icons that are driving new players away because they have the appearance of lootboxes.
