Thank you very much. This is my first attempt. I also have one with a filtration system, and the yields are way lower, but it does make the crops grow faster. So I’ll keep both different crops anyways.
Just add a way to turn the water off before you do your harvest to get the yields back up.
I did, I used trap doors
then your yields should not be lower when the water is turned off prior to harvesting.
Here is the crop I added with the filtration system. As you can see the side with the water flowing on top of the rice, grew alot quicker. But the crops without the flowing water have way better yields.
I’m not 100% sure of why, but the yields are lower than the crops with water just near them
You have to close the water off for harvest. It’s only to make them grow quicker I believe. Didn’t incorporate flowing water into my design.
So you need trap doors to hold the water back for harvest ^^
Yes you are correct. So I made a crop with just water near them, and a separate crop with flowing water. Just to see what the difference is between them. Yes I will definitely turn the water off before harvesting, to get a better yield.
That’s cause your flowing water field doesn’t have the water next to them like the other field does. It increases yields. So what you want is a mix of both, a field with water next to them, AND a trapdoor system to have water flow on the crops.
