I had seen the sign @bucfanpaka left in her hub a couple of weeks ago saying she might not be playing much longer. She also requested nobody message her about it and I hope this thread doesn’t cause her any grief.
However, I didn’t think someone who has been a cornerstone of Boundless like Paka should just slip away unmourned or uncelebrated. I don’t know if she’ll see this – or if maybe this was a temporary leave and she’ll be back, fingers crossed – but Paka’s generosity, kindness, and sense of fun were absolutely one of the best parts of this community.
I agree. I also wanted to post, but was worried it would be against her request but sheesh. no one would slip away without any ripples in the water.
Thanks for all your FOR SCIENCE! planets, for helping alot of us make the planets of our dreams. Your willingness to share you secreats, even if tt cost your visitors cause we could ‘make our own’ was unparalled.

Great community member. Not sure if she is just shutting down those planets or stopping play. If she is stopping play I would be willing to re-beacon plot her Aenea remembrance tree to preserve it. Such a sweet tribute and would hate to see it disappear.
Pakas mines were the first amazing ones The Slub Tribe came across years ago when we started our travels in Boundless. I also noticed the sign and the fact that the portals are now closed. Thank you Paka for all you shared with us. We hope to see you back some time! Until then, farewell!

She will definitely will be missed. But she has her reasons. And that’s good enough for me. Obviously I’d love to see her come back and who knows. Maybe we will. The name of the game is Boundless and all.
I have been building mostly last few months and haven’t been mining at all, so I didn’t even know about the sign as I haven’t visited Pakaverse for a while.
This makes me immensely sad. Paka has been such a presence, kind of person you want to engage with and have around; amazing energy

Thank you all so much, it means the world to me, and I truly do love all you! My Boundless times and friends will always be among the most special in my life. I really do apologize about the hub, I genuinely feel terrible about that… I very seriously though do not wish to discuss my reasons for leaving so I’ll say no more there, just - the decision is definite 100%, and I’m sorry. I thought about making a brief post here for purposes of the rental hub but I know that there are some who take real issue with goodbye/I’m leaving posts so figured best to just leave quietly.
Thank you, both for your offer and for reminding me of that!! Good thing is, that beacon should have I think still at least half a year on it, so there is some time there. Although I truly don’t believe I’ll be back or putting more money into it, sustaining GC for purposes of that tree, I’ll consider. If I decide against though I’ll let you know! Edit: Though actually, I can just jump on and fuel that one beacon from time to time, that’s probably best. None of my other stuff is large enough that I don’t think my beacons running should bother anybody, but if anybody wants me to deplot anything let me know (I think that is more likely on Raxxa but that one doesn’t have much GC on it).

Oooh, that came unexpected. I just returned about two weeks ago and still remember visiting your planets for specific building colors back when I built on the Twisted Dragon rental planet.
Thanks for everything you did for the community @bucfanpaka! I’m pretty sure we’ll see each other someday again tho - either because you’re returning or because we might play the same different game at some point. (In the end I was only returning due to our great player community as well - even if we’re not many)
Said it privately, but will say again publicly - thank you @bucfanpaka for all the things you did in the game that added a lot of enjoyment to others experience.
