Just curious, what would they change it to?
Ooooooops. Complete
Sorry but I don’t understand what bombs have to do with it. Are you confusing your threads?
Lol, yeah. Clicked the wrong thread.
To answer your question, I’d have the world properties tied to the block. A T-1 block stays a T-1 block, no matter where you place it…and vice versa.
That would be… Not very smart, or efficient. It would add yet another property to custom blocks that serves no purpose.
Right now, a block that’s placed down is exactly the same as every block around it. If you were going to keep origins, you’re going to have to actually save that for ALL blocks, instead of just having ‘this type of block’.
I’m sure there’s a way to do that with unique IDs etc, but it’s not very flexible at that point.
Yeah, I could see the possible issues
I just realized something else that would make that horrible. When building, and you misplace a few blocks, you remove them (hammer, axe, whatever), so if you have mixed blocks you need different amounts of hits for blocks to remove them. That would get extremely frustrating extremely fast.
I really like the idea. It’d be great if they have the same behavior that IC2 scaffolding block, where you can destroy one column just by hitting the bottom block.
