I legit was just looking in the global channels in the game to see if anyone was talking about this. I thought it was a bug.

They have to do it every couple of months or so.
With my programmer’s hat on, I’d guess that some kind of internal counter is overflowing and wrapping around, and playing havoc with the internal weather system. By my calculations, if you track game time in milliseconds and store the value in a 32-bit integer, you’ll get a wrap around every 49.7 days.
Just a guess of course. I have no knowledge of the internal Boundless code architecture.
