Servers unplayable, right on time!

It definitely looks like there’s at least some packet loss happening, the nodes along the way are typically just going to be network switches and you never know if they’ve been setup to just drop ICMP ping packets when they hit any amount of stress. So you can’t always trust packet loss numbers with tools like winmtr since the server may drop those packets to ensure it has capacity for the “real” packets, however we don’t intentionally drop any packets at the final server so it does look like high packet loss.
It’d be interesting to try running winmtr at other times of the day, also grabbing a capture when the game is not running to ensure the game itself is not somehow overloading your network.

If you do run at another time and are seeing the packet loss in winmtr you can also try gs-live-euc4.playboundless.com which is another of the servers which has slightly less load on it currently. They’re in the same facility so the behaviour should be the same, if not then it could point at something on the server not the route.

It’s also worth just trying winmtr against something obvious like www.google.com if that’s also showing any packet loss it would point much more strongly at an issue with your connection or your isp’s routing.
