I am trying to give slingbow forging a try and after forging some, I am confused as to how people can find the bow they want in a shop with a wide selection. With 16 boons to choose from theres 16x15x14 permutations… given, some people just dont like some boons / combinations but my issue remains how to organize it?
Say lets loosely define a shotgun as +dmg +aoe
Say a sniper is +dmg +range
What do i classify +dmg + aoe +range and do i put it under shotguns or snipers?
or Say +dmg +spd is a machine gun
What do i classify +dmg + aoe +spd?
or similarly +dmg +range +spd?
and so on and so forth…
I hope that made sense…
tldr; I don’t know how people would find the specific boon combo in a shop that offers a ton of combinations, need ideas to sort it out…
Answering the question though, big signs above stands help best to navigate in a big shop. In shops without clear signs I patiently browse through shop stands. Might take a while, but as long as bows are not mixed I am ready to spend time on that.
I often ended up with different bows as some shops would have different bows mixed in a stack, and I usually buy in stacks.
All of them lol be it 10 or 20, unless I find what I need sooner.
Usually best way is to have the shop divided in sections by type: diamond, ruby, emerald etc. Within each section one or a few stands by boons.
It’s enough to group by one main boon: snipers, multishots, max damage… So let’s say a shop stand of multishots within ruby section. Inside that stand you can have all ruby multishots no matter what the other boons are (light source, range etc), as long as you don’t mix different bows in one stack.
That kind of set up is good enough for me to find what I need.
I ended up doing something a bit convoluted but it makes sense to me >.<
I divided the boons into dps or utility…
so a dmg+ multi+ spd+ has 3 dps boons
and will be in the same stand as say
dmg+ multi+ crit eff+
dmg+ spd+ crit eff+
dmg+ crit eff+ crit chance+
etc
so I only have 4 sets of stands,
1 dps dps dps
2 dps dps util
3 dps util util
4 util util util
so for example, if you want a sniper with dmg+ range+ light flight+, it will be in set 3
vs a sniper with dmg+ crit eff+ range+ will be in set 2
vs a sniper with range+ light flight+ dura+ will be in set 4
will probably seperate anything with glow or armor altogether since those are way too niche.
