So i keep myself busy running markets big hubs helping new players /organizing contests
create new housing areas
this put me in position to have easy acces to materials and a nice supply off cash to live by
but it been hell to obtain plots since most off my time gets spend setting things up for others its been this way since beta
i level extreme slow
the rock xp thing was the only thing that got me some alts with spare plots
am i playing game wrong and should i spend more time getting xp
i wish there was away to get some social xp
now the footfall is doable for me after i installed some footfall traps
was broke for longtime because i played without footfall traps
i see a problem now that builders gonna be
forced to keep rebuilding stuff to get xp
i feel that builders being to much forced to do the other profession and i have lost many greatbuilders do to this
Lol I want game xp from forum posting for the same reason…
Srsly tho one idea this gave me is a way to receive your footfall as XP instead of coin. That’s technically how it worked before. Your social efforts net you footfall which you could spend on rocks for XP.
It feels a little clunky; buying xp for coin is more in line with this game. So maybe a new consumable can be added, something really rare and tightly controlled so as not to be exploited. But eating it gives you well fed and some XP every second. (I made it a food so it doesn’t stack with teaching food.) Social players can spend their footfall earnings to buy these items from other players who gathered them.
Wait a second here, I think I missed something! When you said “the rock XP thing was the only thing that got me some alts with spare plots”… What do you mean"was"? Do we not get XP from turning rock into stone anymore?
Sounds familiar…not that I am an emperor but I even find myself taking on contract to gain coin. Never really played the whole footfall card and find myself childishly happy with a few hundred coin a day.
I have been investing hugely in the stone exp over the weekend to have at least all my ALTs to a level they can do their respective intended jobs and earn me moneys. I don’t need as much the plots because plots I can buy if I want. Coin I can’t buy…so I need that XP to get that extra coin to be able to buy me AOE tools and rare items…
I feel that building is becoming secondary to everything else and building is my passion in this game.
I am feeling this way also. . and lets face it if no one builds then there is no reason for most of the blocks (tables, chairs, decorative and refined wood and stone blocks, poles, ornate doors, chiseling, and other items). All you have is players selling and buying stuff to see who gets the most coin.
I agree with the rock, you can earn xp quickly doing other things, like chiseling, collecting, mining. hunting, making goals, I think you just want to go up fast without more level, I’m level 201 and I do not know what it’s worth, just to have cubits and plots nothing more but the level is not even because it keeps going up, even so I think it is a good measure to make it more diverse to obtain xp and not just eleborando roca, it is clear that they do it so that people play and not only elaborate rock
My XP and my level is obtained thanks to chisel and mining little I have used the rock, it is more or use to build, soil throw it since it is not worth the prestige that this material offers
At first I was unfazed by the patch note about the stone XP change… but then I sat down and did the math over the last couple of days. And what I realized was not good.
As someone who wasn’t using this technique/exploit/meta/call-it-whatever, I was still using stones for my largest planned project, because the last time I left the game back in about October, I was fed up with the crafting requirements for higher-end building materials. This time I told myself, “Well, 20k Sedimentary Bricks isn’t gonna happen… but at least I’ll always have stones.”
Fast-forward to today, and I looked at the breakdown of my XP gain over the last couple of weeks since rejoining the game. The majority of it came from placing and chiseling blocks, but… Yep. The rest of it was from processing stones.
So I’m taking about a 20-25% hit on all of my XP across the boards, for my play style. And I’m currently at about 350 plots, 300 shy of the goal for the project I wanted to work on.
