With new portal networks in the mix with the already established portal networks Plus the many players portals it is a safe bet pressure on the supply of oort has increased significantly while the hunting groups supplying it are not growing by any significant amount.
Inevitably one or more of the networks are Doomed to Fail as costs increase.
In you Guesstimate how high do you see rough oort going to??
Based on my perspective, hunts have grown a lot… 40+ on a hunt is becoming the norm. Also, it seems like there are more groups hosting lately. That’s what I’ve noticed anyway… I think in the coming weeks it might go up a bit because more people will be Gleambow hunting… with it only being on select planets though, it could go either way here soon.
It seems that oort prices keep growing because the guilds that rely on buying oort increase the price a little higher so that the Oort sellers go to them for coin, but it’s becomes more expensive for those same guilds so oort prices will stop growing, at this point smaller guilds can’t even afford to buy oort for there portals, it’s to expensive.
I think problem is not hunting itself and people not participating… as gina said theres lots of people hunting.
But the question is are those hunters right hunters? I mean i bet if some portal owners just rely on someone selling them their oort they are gonna get deleted in the long run.
2nd question is why should people sell their oort? Theres no shard baskets usually just stone ones.
I think many portal owner trip into this… now that we have new players here they like to get exp for the oort -> shard
i think that gathering spark isnt a problem for the guild. its far easyer to get and i suppose thats the reason why you dont see coal or fuel baskets next to the oort basket
that lowers the price cost. otherwhise you pay for the fuel too
The raise of networks will have a great effect on the oort prices. How more networks… how more portals there are. I mean the shopowners prefer to connect with most populair places so their expect to lore people in. So besides the cost of the networks themself, the shopowners see a slight increase of oort useage too. unless they dont connect or close an other portal.
sometimes i would like to know to how many people go true your portal. But i think that will play into a monopoly of networks too…
