I had another idea. How does everyone feel about having the option to stack foods such as pies? One way to balance this would be for example; 1 teaching pie + 1 persisting pie, the teaching pies total XP to earn would be cut in half and the persisting pies timer would be reduced to half. This could give new players a opportunity to level faster and reserve their tools longer. Also you know we all would be stacking these two, so this would create a need for more farming the mats to make more. Just a idea. Could be modified from my thought about it. Thanks everyone.
I feel that all Non-Combat damage altering foodstuffs should be allowed to stack, with out any kind of penalty.
This idea Iâd good. To expand and open discussion what if you had 1 buff slot for one hour and could divide it however you like.
Why the one exception?
Because the suggestion to only allow non-combat foodstuffs is more likely to be accepted,
The moment you allow any and all foodstuff as well as combat foods to stack, then new balance problems may show up and that lowers the chance of that being allowed, or combat foods will get nerfed to compensate for the fact they can now stack.
The original phrase was âcombat damage alteringâ which makes a little more sense but I still donât get how thatâs more harmful to the game than specifying any other activity, like âharvesting profit alteringâ or âexploring experience alteringâ.
With the broader defitnition, most foods have some use as âcombat foodsâ even if itâs just compensating for build preferences.
Also IMO thereâs likely to be some addressing of this in the near(ish) future when T8 planets come. Else weâll have battles as hard as or harder than T7 meteors with no âcombat foodsâ, directly damage altering or not. Or for any other activity for that matter. No boosting energy, experience, or persist will directly affect a lot more playersâ normal activities than no combat altering.
What foods would you exclude from stacking? Not trying to invalidate your suggestion here, just trying to get on your page for a moment.
It is just as I say. Combat related stuff, can be a bit more touchy to balance and as such devs tend to be a bit more sensitive to tampering with such things. Therefore I feel it is more reasonable to exclude the pies that will have a modest to major impact on combat.
There is really no other reason then just in my book, to make the suggestion look a bit more likely to be accepted by the devs and not being deemed as being overpowered and automatically tossed aside.
Fair enough I guess.
I was looking to clarify and maybe expand a bit since itâs my opinion that they will have to address this in the near future. For all activities.
Dunno, maybe they want us to all feel like noobs with iron gear on T4/T5 again
The Devs seem to do everything to extend the amount of time to get xp so i doubt this will ever get to work.
Getting xp faster or more is less Money for them afterall.
I would like to see that thou^^
