I’ve got a problem with stacks and storage. When transferring a stack to storage it sometimes completely disappears! From what I remember it’s been mainly wood that’s disappearing but I think I’ve had some stones go too.
This only happens when transferring to a storage block, not a machine or crafting table.
It’s really frustrating as I’ve lost several stacks of stuff for building and cannot fathom where they’ve gone to.
were there any existing stacks of material in the storage? sometimes existing smart stacks will combine with other smart stacks if there is enough room left in the stack
I’d imagine it’s a smart stack thing. Blocks and certain items, even if not the same colour/type can smart stack.
You’ll find things like berries, meats and earthyams all smart stack together.
Whilst all subtypes of ‘rocks’, ‘trunks’, ‘stones’, ‘leaves’ and the ‘flint’ group (flint, salt rock and opal).
Oh, and ‘cooked foods’ too.
Edible lamella…took me a while to figure out they stack with raw food and not the other lamella
Just had the same thing happen to me with rocks. Tried to transfer them to storage block, they vanished…I thought they might have gone into a stack already in the block so I clicked that, it popped over to my backpack. I clicked on it there, it hopped back to storage. I stupidly clicked again, in the storage block now, and it vanished altogether. Worse, now my menus are opening, but I can’t interact with them. Had to alt/tab/del out of the game because the menus aren’t recognizing mouse clicks.
