Well, technically everyone could log on. But the game wouldn’t really work right if only 80 people could access tnt or dkmall at once, if there were 20,000 players. They’d obviously have to change some things.

Yeah that’s true, but with that many people there would likely be many more portal hubs and malls pop up to accommodate the new players as well.

Well we did also just recently test adding over 1000 worlds in less than a month, right?

Given there are 50 planets with 80 slots each, the game is not meant for more than 4000 players concurently.
At 4000 nobody would be able to switch planets.
Now I understand why having suddenly 20000 people joining the game would lead them to drop bad reviews as they would not be able to join the public worlds.

If we look at the beacons in world with prestige then game has 7625 characters with beacons in world.

edit: 7625 characters that could be 1 per account or 800 really dedicated people. i know that at least 8 of those are mine because i use alts for different beacons.
