So I’m watching a sponsored streamer, and heard one of the guys they’re playing with now thinks he has to find olivine fragments…
But he just started the game, so he wont’ find them. At all, but because he’s following the objectives, he thinks that’s what he needs to do.
These objectives reaaallly needed to be edited before the game released to streamers… All they needed was a few words to explain not all objectives could be done on the same planet…
When people see “Objectives” they think it’s somethin’ to do in order, but really, “Objectives” are basically the same as “feats” but you got them labeled differently, so it SEEMS like “Objectives” got to be followed, it’s confusin…
They’re already havin’ issues with the same objectives we bug reported on … Like some of the beacon objectives don’t work if you already friended someone, you have to find a new friend, an’ such.
His friend has spent the last 20 minutes tryin’ to complete the bugged friend permission quest… It shoulda’ been removed if it couldn’t have been fixed in time for Streamers…
Yup, content creators were contacted by Square Enix and given access to the game to help raise awareness prior to launch. The “no stream” policy was lifted today as well, so there’s a few people streaming at the moment on Twitch (not sure about other platforms).
I’ve said this in the bug thread already, but that specific objective is one of the really confusing ones for new players. It basically implies that you can do the objective on your starter planet, which is obvious to anyone who have played for a while, that you can’t.
Also, if we help the streamers specifically to understand the game. There still will be new players that is still just as confused. Not saying it wont help to reach out, but it is just a bandaid.
