With Swords and Shields presumably around the corner to add new spice to combat, Id really like to see bombs be more viable in hunts by giving them the option to not destroy terrain.
I want to be able to use bombs without making massive creators everywhere during a meteor.
i have actually talked about this a couple nights ago
make a boon (or augment) that converts the damage it would have done to the ground into damage to creatures. the higher the boon, the more damage it would do. none of the ground would be damaged, but depending on where you are and depending on the boon level, you can rack up tons of damage
it would make bombs into a viable weapon while still making it a strategic type thing
i like dj idea…with a small modification. the damage to the ground is % deflected to the mobs based off the augment. this makes it simpler. u dont have to uncode terrain damage from bombs. higher the augment % blocks wont break.
Love this idea. I go on hunts fairly regularly and usually bombs don’t get used. When they do however it’s carnage unless the wielder is very skilled. Give us a Boon like the above and then ANYONE could use bombs! Make it bounce off soils and stones but maybe reflect up to mobs and wood/foliage?
