Does anyone know if you can get a T6 with diamonds as a sovereign world?
If all I cared about was prestige, I could catch the second place town up in a weekend, if not pass river towns. 50m prestige isnāt a lot when you take into account all of the plots, mats and coin players have saved up. I feel very confident I could drop 50m+ solo and there are people with far deeper pockets with considerably more play time than me.
I think the best tging to do would give them a free portal to the closest capital.
The current plan is yes.
Honestly you can put me anywhere and I will find a way back. I say if someone makes their home beacon on a sovereign world they get a warning message letting them know what happens if the world is locked. Though I really donāt see the issue with just giving us one home location for perma worlds and one for sovereign worlds.
Thanks. I mainly play the game for mining and I primarily mine diamonds. I would LOVE a sovereign planet with diamonds that I could own.
I plan on hosting a diamond one right away and waiting on my build world for a bit.
I agree with this outlook. If a planet is locked down/offline automatically send them to the planet the sovereign was orbiting.
Yep, I could be seriously underestimating some of you all here I guess!
I think it could actually be pretty neat to add something like this to compete for, for the most serious players⦠but yeah, the drama potential is the biggest drawback. Devs have their hands full without another Biitula situation on their hands, or unforeseen issues. Payoff if it stayed somewhere somewhat useful really could be massive⦠but no way to tell what the odds of that āifā there are.
Only issue with the capital of the planet it is closest to, might be some problems with the higher tier ones. With those, more likely they could end up somewhere inconvenient, but also, unless the rental had to be closest to a planet of the same type, if a person had no cleanse points, could find themselves in a deadly atmosphere. That one is unlikely, but possible.
Reverting to a step like in the tutorial, handing over another totem and warp and letting them choose a region, that gives a little more choice⦠but probably harder to implement than a planetās capital warp. Easier might be better here, with the release seeming to be very soon.
The only issue I see with the warp and totem is if they have a full inventory. Other than that, I think it would work great.
Could empty a couple slots of inventory into reclaim storage if it happened, have a program set to prioritize what would be put in storage (rocks, seeds, and such first, tools and food last)ā¦
Give a notice of what happened, then they can reclaim later.
Yeah all we need is a simple āSovereign Homeā option that is coded as the replacement to a personās home in the Universe. If the world goes offline allow the āprevious Homeā the person has in the live universe be it or some thing like that.
All this talk of city warps, or free this or free that here or there is just crazy and adds way too much complexity and will be abused somehow or create Biitula 2.0. People just need to stop the scope creep in my view.
I agree with this mostly, but I donāt think it should overwrite/replace a playerās home beacon in the main Universe. If it did, they would then lose their ability to warp home for free, while in the main Universe.
I died to a cuttletrunk on my planet before I finished choosing colors (thought they werenāt supposed to spawn), but thankfully the colors stayed put. It did take me a minute to find my beacon again because I forgot I can warp to it.
Does warping change functionality between Sovereign and Public worlds? Wouldnāt they still be able to warp home for freeā¦home would just be their home beacon on their Sovereign world?
It may have already been suggested but if so; I missed it - what if the intro sanctum just played again if a character has no beacons? Warp aug, totem, that tiny bit of npc dialogue? Itās already all there and it seems like thatād let people risk making a sovereign world their home.
Also, on a totally separate note, itād be pretty cool to incentivize making these worlds public. Most people probably will anyway but what if footfall was increased on them or something?
I thought about this as well, then someone brought up the point about a full inventory. Then I thought, well what if we just get a free inventory spot for totems only so we will always have one. But I figured that may be hard to implement or considered āexploitableā.
Ohhh. Well damn, I didnāt think about inv space. Thatās a good point.
At the moment, you canāt have a home beacon on a rental planet.
Some players think it might be exploitable/too OP if there were a home beacon on the perm planets plus a 2nd home beacon on a rental planet. (I personally donāt agree with this)
Oh gotcha sorry. It looked like you were replying to Xaldafax promoting the idea a few of us have had about having a Sovereign World home that overrides the Public World home by saying people would lose their ability to warp home for free in the known universe.
Must be that silly forum reply bug showing itās head again

Maybe I am missing something hereā¦
Are you guys saying you think that if a person rents a planet, they should place a beacon there & that should replace/overwrite their home beacon in the main Universe?
If so, I 100% disagree.
Adding the ability to have a Sovereign home beacon, for that planet, in addition to your regular home beacon in the Main Universe = ![]()
