it will take a month to resolve itself at the maximum. Since you can now change the colors on a rental once a month. I think if Black Gleam shows up and gets locked behind restricted access, 3 + other players will shift their gleam color the first chance they get.

Or you know maybe some one just instantly pays for another planet

I’m sure this will happen to some extent, but the questions are then:

  1. Are these players actively playing the game now?
  2. Are these some of the players that have already been avoiding participating in the economy?
If so, it may not have that much effect - besides these people finally being able to play the game the way they want to. Satisfied/happy players = :goldore: :goldore: :goldore: :goldore: :goldore: :goldore:

Could be wrong, but as people rent Sovereign worlds, I would imagine they want to start building their projects asap. Therefore, I think they’ll be :moneybag: :moneybag: :moneybag: buying lots of mats and tools. So demand & spending should spike. There should also be a higher demand for oort since a bunch of new portals will be going up, so people can connect their shiny new Sovereign planets to the rest of Oortilization. Not certain, but I think I’ve already been seeing players gathering/hoarding mats for their planets.

I agree with you.

I do think a lot of the large reclaims have been players preparing to move to a survival rental. If they were going to just rent a creative then they could have left their survival build since they do not need the materials or the plots.

As far as who will go to creative and how will it affect the economy I agree also. There is really no way of knowing how many active players would leave and those that might, if they were participating in the economy or not.

Now market speculation is a very fun part of this game and I share some of your views on demand but not others. Will be fun finding out which ideas were winners and losers.

Boundless sure has a … wait for it… Boundless amount of ways to play!

Yep, thinking this too - I’m already buying and planning, and I suspect the economy will see a boost from others wanting to build on their new sovereign worlds. Buying Oort too as - and this part worries me a bit I admit - I do see demand going up, possibly way up. (… Maybe we can get new worlds with those Oort seams soon? )

Haha, I may, though I’ve gone through most of my fortune now! :flushed:

… Though, my plans keep changing up, since 1st priority is now a Toxic T6, may not get my pink barbie paradise since I probably wouldn’t go with those shades in that atmosphere. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Leaning towards 2nd priority if I can afford two, being a creative that I’d open up for others to build on… which I COULD make Planet Barbie, but the whole point of doing it would be to be nice and encourage people to come build cool stuff, and that might scare off settlers… :joy: Well, maybe some pink foliage and rocks at least…

… Yep, I’m getting excited about rentals, how about you all?!

I’m so excited I can barely hold my pee last few weeks.
Or maybe it’s what the doc said? Nothing to do with Boundless…

I have decided what colors I want for my first sovereign, more or less, and I have 3 builds planned with rough sketches to help me remember my ideas. The remaining 237 ideas and projects are stored in my head, so I will forget 80% of them before I sit down and make notes.

For now trying to put finishing touches to my and @Trickyy90 exo and gleambow shops on Lutrion and a few other of my almost finished builds need attention too.
Never ending story like.

I do find it interesting that I can have a creative planet covered in snow

and it still has large pools of lava everywhere open to the sky.

Yeah I wish

Has anyone tested trying to warp off a creative world to survival when you have no money? If they are paying warp costs, but not making coin is it not possible to get stuck in creative?

Edit: This assumes you placed your home beacon on the creative planet.

I imagine it’s the same as live planets and you go negative in coin. Or was that only when warping home costed money?

That was when warping home cost money.

Lol yea this won’t be an issue. I’m sure the second someone gets black gleam at least 1 other person will instantly buy a planet to put black gleam on it and make it public for everyone. I imagine it would be a week at best before black gleam would become public after an owner of a different planet locks it away.
