Can it be caused by overheating? I am certain that I have seen descriptions of similar issues in other games and one reason mentioned is overheating. Both verices seemingly in the wrong place and rainbow coloured textures. Not sure that is what is happening here though. 
Nah it’s definitely a coding issue
It happens randomly and goes away
If it were an overheating thing it would get worse not go away, and it would be predictable based on console temperature
Also if it were an overheating thing, PC people would probably experience it, and experience it more than ps4, since a PC is more likely to overheat (since it can be overclocked, have a custom but insufficient fan, and since you can crank the graphics settings excessively high)
But you are right, overheating can cause the same issues. I’ve seen it many times on PC - but never on PS4 (other than in boundless).

Yeah I have been afraid of that as well with my old PS4 Pro which also sounded like a jet engine all the time. But even my new PS4 Pro (which is quiet as a mouse) does the same thing no matter if it’s been on for 2 minutes or 20 hours…
It’s simply a PS4 optimisation glitch
