Yeah,I would like to see and hear a 2:1/1:4/3:1 you know what mean. Just a little more than lighting thunder, lightning thunder, lightening thunder.
yea but even if it is lightning, lightning, thunder ( 2 thunders merged into a big one) lightning, thunder. The ratio stays 1:1.
No,if itâs boom, boom. Then two boom donât make one big boom!!! Itâs just two booms.
Just like if,you have two lightnings(strike, strike)that doesnât make one big lightning strike. So there could be a 1:2
nope since itâs a long sound, more like a grumbling, it is quite likely that multiple thunders merge.
IRL thunder is delayed by approximately 1 second for every mile in distance the lightning strike was away from you so for there to be even a 1 full second delay the lightning would have to be over 2,000 blocks away in game
shouldnât it be 340 blocks for 1 second delay? Because the speed of sound is ca. 340 m/s.
eh probably
I was just repeating what my Grandpa told me when I was 7
No problem^^ I wasnât sure either, had 333 m/s in mind but it seems like it is 340 (point something).
Even then, there could still be a 3:1 ratio.
No there is always a 1:1 ratio, there canât be a lightning without thunder.
This shows 8-10 lightning strikes before thunder.
1 strike doesnât equal 1 thunder.
Its cool now but i bet people are going to insta toggle it off, me? I cant to play in the rain, will our fur get wet?
Physics says it does. Aside from your video clearly showing that more lightnings equal longer thunders (which means they just merged together / were to close to differentiate them), explain to me how could there be a lightning without a thunder?
There canât be,on earth. But this isnât earth is it.
No,your right though.
I lost the battleâŚbut thereâs still the war!!!
well of course there is the possibility that our physical rules do not apply in the oortiverse but I hope some fundamentales do^^
Thunder is caused by pressure disturbances caused by a bolt of lightning. You canât have one without the other. You may occasionally hear the rumble but not see that flash, but in those occasions it is often because the bolt was high up in the cloud and did not strike the ground. On other occasions, you may hear multiple rumbles, but only see one bolt of lightning. This could be caused by echoing sound off of hard surfaces like buildings, mountains, or cliff faces.
In short, there is always a 1:1 ratio lightning:thunder, but you may not always detect it or you may mistake what you do detect.
You totally harshest my buzz.
And I wasnât saying that there couldnât be lightning without thunder, just I would like to see a mixture of some lighting some thunder. But not just lightning thunder, lightning thunder over and over, you know?
It gets repetitive and boring.
Funfact, lightning doesnât hit the ground it comes from the ground^^
This looks amazing! I would agree with zouls that the sound could be a little better, but the visual of it amazing! Such a good job getting the flashes to appear realistic!
As for the gameplay feature that has a bi-product of a thunderstorm, I can only wonder about you guys making some flashy effects for something, and then having those effects work for storms as well?
Another interesting fact is
1.Nothing ever really touches, the sensation of touch is just the push of atoms on each other
2.The are 4 states of matter,5 if you count âStar Matterâ. Solid, liquid,Gas,and Plasma. Plasma is a super heated gas.
9.98% of the universe is plasma.
