😢 This makes me sad

I don’t think that’s gonna happen before the compactness and reclaim features are added.

Still I could always get more diamonds from my hotspot n Malu than I can from any exo, but my hotspot is surrounded now, sigh. Shame I didn’t have enough plots back then to preserve the hotspot for everyone by plotting above ground in the air, sigh.

Devs??? Could we pretty please have a dupe set of gem T5+ planets, please? We will take good care of them, promise! Ohh also means new planets to explore, fill new atlases… Would be great all-around!

:star_struck:Any new planets would be great …I’d vote to keep the current T5 planet too (Love the colors, so many resources, & lots of metal).

I’ve had several public mines blocked off, and some of my gathering locations plotted out. Also pretty sure they used my portals to do it, which really sucks when you realize it. But I made my stand by closing my portals and leaving my builds and plots ( yeah I know, it’s as useless as a road rage rant in your car :stuck_out_tongue:)

So here’s the thing, once the frustration settles I come to the conclusions;

  1. I have lots of alternative locations for resources… (my hoarding tendencies are still safe.)

  2. ā€œMost casesā€ it’s a new player that doesn’t realize what they’ve plotted out or blocked. (Welcome new player!! Even though I don’t like our unofficial introductions :disappointed:)

  3. I guess in hindsight I really could have plotted in the sky above the resource if I really wanted to preserve it :man_shrugging:. In reality there’s nothing that can or should be done, everyone has the right to plot if it’s unplotted, it is part of the game play and will only be more profound as our population grows and also as other players get more plots. There are enough resources between the know and exo worlds I just have to explore alittle more and perhaps even break down and spend alittle coin in the game economy if I get desperate I suppose.

Maybe one of them can have like a freaking lot of stardrop plants? Lol

How about ones that are only for resources, they follow live universe rules with the exception that no beacons or plots can be used on them?

That sound like an exo

I mean… this gonna happen more and more as the playerbase grows… if anything, I’m almost happy to see this because it proves that the game is growing in playerbase in some way or another, that new people comes in more and more, sure it sucks when it happens but you can’t control where people plot their things, most of them probably don’t even know about these spots being ā€œrareā€ and just like the flat nature of the terrain.

Edit: besides… the devs could always add more planet if it becomes needed, it’s not like they have to design them from scratch. just generate one internally and give it a pass

Yup except it’s permanent and regens.

Why do this? That is what the Exo’s are for. Just because some of use might not like that a person plotted in an area we were gathering resources on does not mean they did anything wrong. If I plot an area in a forest in order to build in the forest, I may be preventing someone from using the area to gather wood and sap, but can this not be said of anywhere that a player plots? Unless we are all going to build in the sky then all builds are going to restrict some amount of resources from being gathered.

Unless you plot the place first :sunglasses:

As OP said it’s better if we preserve places we like for resources although not everyone do it for the benefit of all lol

best thing we can do is throw the message out there, but not everyone checks the forums so yeah… it’s a bit harder haha

Maybe plot around and build a giant message made with silk yellow gleam that says ā€œhey contact me in the forum plsā€

Except it’s permanent! Sounds more like rental planets where people just aren’t allowed to beacon!

Only downside, I do like my portals to and from my mining locations, sigh

Just playing with the idea of ā€œpermanent exo’sā€ just for resources. I mentioned in my previous post regarding plotting of resources.

it could help I think, but terrain like this is, in nature, VERY attractive to people since it is far FAR better to build off that kind of terrain rather than from one that is all bossy, I for one, am someone that makes his bases IN the mountains, I dig a lair there and make it my home haha, because it’s far easier for me to expand, ('i’m also a big fan of Dwarves… especially the Warhammer Fantasy one haha"

I suppose once rental planets are available we can work together to make more resources readily available

You do have a point, a lot of people don’t even realize where they are plotting, they just see a flat spot and go for it. My friends and I plotted in an island with an ash field, we have the right plot there, even if someone doesn’t like it, There’s plenty of ash on the planet to go around. I made sure to look as well after we plotted the island, plenty of ash on the south side of the world.

exactly, I unknowingly plotted one of my beacon pretty close to an already established village, and they wanted to expand, they asked if I wanted to come at their house to try to work something out and I just flat out said to them that I would prefer move so they have all the space they need to expand if the needs comes at some point for them. So I just moved all my stuff and went far away and took the time to see if there was any building around so I don’t do the same mistake haha

Also, just to throw that out there… if, by any chance, the game becomes REALLY successful, with like 4000+ concurrent players at all times, there is a pretty high possibility that entire planets could becomes literal cities of their own, or at least riddled with so many different cities that it becomes a huge planetary metropolis, a bit like in Anno 2205, so this could only be the beginning of what future urban expansions will look like
