😢 This makes me sad

It would be good to hear from the devs on this I agree.

It is the weekend though.

Maybe each planet could have a region that’s unplottable? For future planets not current ones of course.

What happens if all the spitters turn yellow & fly away? This hasn’t happened & I’m being silly, but neither are all the resources walled off.

The devs said they could spawn an infinite # of planets & we have fresh Exos rolling in every week.

What are gems & metals selling for right now? 60c each or less on the gems & 12c each or less on the metals…Seems like there’s no problem getting the resources :woman_shrugging:

There are over 16,000 stardrop plants in the universe (that drop bitter beans)…I’m sure all 16k aren’t plotted.

I think that the hotspots will be walled off if they are all walled off. It is very much part of the game. Resource control is a cool concept. It would be much worse if there was a larger population. But there are multiple ways to get these resources, not just from hotspots.

They have not answered because it is something they have already answered in the past when this came up, the response was ā€œIf all the diamonds on Serp get plotted, we will simply spawn anther diamond planetā€

Leaving a bad review for not getting a response about something you do not fully understand is bad form.

Right now, all resources are available, and are not plotted. there is always somewhere else on the same planet to get resources. So the devs do NOT need to step in and do anything. I hope they do not take time to solve a problem that is not a problem yet…and just keep working on new features and game improvements.

Please, for the love of the game do not do this. Do you hate the game so much you want it to be shut down or something? I get you don’t like this at all but to warn potential buyers away is not the way to get a dev reaction…

We can still get our resources, only when it gets worse the devs should react. I honestly believe they are trying their best to get rental planets out as fast as possible which will ensure we will have more planets with resources to gather from as I’m positive many people want a rental planet that is connected to the main universe (I for one am like that). If there are still issues after that has been rolled out I am sure they will add new public planets as well but right now that seems kinda silly since there might be a lot coming once rentals are here…

@ailes123

i dont know if u know me…

but even ive got to say, pls dont give a bad feedback on steam…

thats the wrong way, realy…

think positive: this thread is not hidden n closed after a few hours…

n dont worry about the missing feedback from the devs… maybe there busy, maybe they like to enjoy a few free days, what they deserved…
maybe they just humans, like you and like me…

so lets search together a solution with constructive critic n without hate someone

So if the Devs do not conform to your wishes you will put a Negative Review up for boundless? Seriously is that not a veiled threat and extortion?

I do not feel comfortable with the way you going about this already answered question.

The good news is there are areas to farm bitter bean that have been preserved with plots above. We will still have bitter beans.

…and that is the right way! Want something saved for public use we should plot above it and make it so!

That may be some of my areas if there are portals, I’m aiming for other resources too. We still have lots of time and lots of spots so I dont think there’s anything to worry about just yet plus there are other groups or players that try and help in this area as well

  1. It’s a bank holiday weekend here in the UK, and the devs are spending some quality time with their families away from a job that sometimes dominates their lives 24/7.

That greatly depends on the situation. I think I’d agree that in this situation it does come off a threat more than genuine feedback, so leaving negative feedback would seem petty.

But equally, in the right circumstances, leaving a negative review can be the most honest and appropriate thing to do.

Already spent 2k hrs in the game, I love it to bits. Except for some bad apples. Giving a negative review is never what I want, what I want is the Dev’s actions to end this madness, pressure is the way to make them take this seriously.

Unfortunatly Im not living in the now. As I said above, I wouldnt mind if there is only one or two, but there are more and more people plotting resources (and thats a truth, not a myth of any mutated spitter). People who saw other people doing that, start to repeat doing it. Till oneday, the day that you thought it would not come, comes.
There are an amount of good players have been protecting resources hotspots for public uses, to keep ā€œ60c each or less on gemsā€. But that is today, noone can tell what will happen tomorrow or in the long run, when for some reasons those saved hotspots expire and get walled off.
I have been trying to protect resource hotspots for public use in the last 6 months, but I feel very sad because no one cares about this issue. Obiviously I can see your answer: ā€œThis is just a game after all, why would one should care? Just leave the day for those who cares saving it, right?ā€

ā€œThe world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything.ā€ ― Albert Einstein

Still not the way to go about it, I then kinda prefer the ā€˜bad apples’, as you call them, who plot resources if I’m totally honest here, they are playing the game within the rules as currently set, trying to force a dev’s hand by writing bad reviews is really rather nasty.

I want ā€˜xx’, ya know what, the devs ain’t listening I’m gonna write a bad review! If you writing a bad review is actually gonna force them to do something, or if people think it did, I am positive more people will do the same, perhaps even the ones who are now plotting those resources.

What should the devs then do? Also more and more people will start to do this and the end is nigh. I’m sure you’re gonna say that’s not gonna happen but using your own logic that will happen one day, the day you thought would not happen, in the end all you accomplish is less people buying the game which means less funds for further development, less funds for more planets and before you know it the game is gone, yay, mission accomplished!

Bad idea is bad…

Ya, posting a question in a random thread hoping the devs are reading every post and response… and then threatening a bad review because they did not respond to everyone in the thread… is for SURE not the way. They wont respond to pressure.

What they WILL respond to is this in Mar '19:

And This in July:

Notice how both were posted in their own suggestion thread, with clear ideas on solutions… and are both now implemented into the game.

If you were to post a negative review based on lack of resources… then it would look just like all those negative reviews of people who say ā€œOMG they want me to log in every week to fuel my beacons? whatever game… 0/10ā€

Those reviews are done by someone who just didn’t know there was 15-week fuel… and therefore are regarded as reviews by people who just didnt pay attention.

So, maybe write your own suggestion thread, maybe put in some ideas on how this issue could be fixed. Maybe you get a response. And maybe a year later its in-game…

What I do not understand is since the Devs have approved of this, heck it was on the website you can lockdown resources and bring the buyers to you or something like that,… Why do you feel it is appropriate to call people playing the game within the TOS as ā€œBad Applesā€ā€¦ just because you disapprove of something they are doing does not make them ā€œBad Applesā€.

It’s not that no one cares. The scenario that you are worried about, technically can’t happen. The devs can add infinite permanent planets. If one is fully plotted or if all of one type of resource is plotted, they can spawn a new world. Also, if there’s an influx of new players, we’ll get new perm planets. And so on.

Plus…exos are full of resources & can’t be plotted.

Interesting because I would never say that no one should care. I like the game so much that I spend my free time creating non-monetized videos for it, telling people on social media about it, helping people on the forums, etc. By the way, I’ve got resource farms I’ve saved/plotted for the public too.

Ya, where is that post? I know @james had chimed in once before on this years ago, saying that if a certain % of a planet is plotted, the system auto-generates a new sister-planet with same resources… can’t find post…

But, that is basically the answer from the devs, yes.

EDIT: is this how Drassak and Trung came to be?

you’re welcome

Thanks!

It’s funny to see @james brainstorming for exo-planets in real-time all the way back in Oct '18. good stuff
